Posting on blogs were something for people to speak their mind and share their thoughts with readers. Bloggers and journalist, people of truth are being arrested under ISA. Because we are speaking our mind and speaking the truth. Is this fair?

Yesterday 3 person were arrested under ISA. A blogger, a journalist and a politician were arrested. These arrest would definitely scare normal small time bloggers like me and other bloggers that are just writting our mind and thoughts on the internet for the sake of loving Malaysia. Even with a small traffic flow for me such as 40+ readers a day, I am very far from the big names such as Rocky Bru, Anil Netto or Raja Petra.

But to be honest the arrest of the journalist, Tan Hoon Cheng, under ISA is just wrong. She is a journalist, she reports the truth and she is an award winning journalist. How could she has reported things wrong? Plus she is just doing her job! Raja Petra had it coming to him, his method shows to all Malaysian, that there should not be any fear of the truth and saying the truth in public. I respect him for that. Teresa Kok, was arrested 11.20pm in the middle of the night. Plus she is a woman being approached and being arrested because of a petition she made.

Penang is breaking apart! Gerakan anti-UMNO Penang.. UMNO Penang anti-Gerakan.. So in the end it is all screwed!

As 40 over Minister of Malaysia goes off for "Lawatan Sambil Belajar" to Taiwan. Maybe go learn how to throw chairs and fight in the Parliament, I dunno which, our Penang has almost falling apart as this happen.

Two of the former major components that formed Malaysia (Barisan National), UMNO and Gerakan, are breaking ties with each other. How would this affect our economy? How would it affect the ties of Penang-ite? Now tearing Mr Koh's picture!! What are you all doing!! Too Much!!

Politicians on Holiday

As the title says, Politicians on Holiday as announced by our Pak Lah.. Opps.. I mean "Lawatan Sambil Belajar".. Suspecting it might have something that got to do with Anwar's plan for 913.. September 13 to form Malaysia..

But as they say the government said no! It has been pre planned before anything happened.. Yeah Right!! Like I am going to fall for that..

Even if the 913 does happen, as much as I feel is a very under handed move, I somehow support it now.. Cause our Malaysian Government and how it handles issues are really disappointing.. Ahmad for 1.. Najib and Altantuya for 2.. Anwar's Liwat Case for 3..

That would be enough to destroy Malaysia as we know it.. I heard something from a friend today, "We are lead by 2 dungu and an idiot wants to kick the 2 dungu off. God Save Us All!!"

UMNO Showing True Colours!!

Is He A Good Man?

Ahmad! Are you looking to raise a war between the Chinese and Malay? How could you still insist what you said is correct?

According to reports from MalaysiaKini, UMNO of Penang has supported Ahmad. How could this happen? This has shown the true colours of UMNO. Even Tun M agrees and supports Ahmad. What the heck? Yes, true maybe at some point what he said has been reported wrong by Sin Chew. But bringing up the story of how Chinese are just merely "menumpang" here is already wrong. Whether before or after Merdeka. These words should not be spoken. It is a racial issue!!

Reading MalaysiaKini, it is then given reasons after reasons to protect and "Cover BackSide" tactics. The more I read what Ahmad said in today's press conference the more angry I get. It is all saying getting even because of how our Chinese leaders have been reacting to what he said. Getting even with the Chinese as he said. Why? Cause the Chinese are questioning the "KeTuanan Melayu." We are living under one roof la. Malaysia la dei!

We are still in the Merdeka spirit, radio and tv advertising keeps stressing on "We Are Malaysia. We Are Not Malay, Chinese and Indian!" In return we have our Datuk saying his right about bringing up a racial topic. What is the point of celebrating Merdeka now?? You guys tell me..

Cina Menumpang!

The title means "Chinese are just renting a place." These are the racial words uttered by Datuk Ahmad Ismail. His from the Barisan's head component UMNO. It was uttered during the election in Permatang Pauh.

How could someone say such thing to the public? It is a racist comment and yet his got a gelaran "DATUK". Then he haven't even apologised publicly to the Chinese people of Malaysia. Instead it was the Deputy PM, Najib, that apologised on his behalf. The funniest thing was Pak Lah saying, "Lets Forget This!" How is it possible to forget it!! If someone said something racist about the Malay people, they would be jumping as well. How could a Deputy PM apologise for his member's behalf and how could a PM say forget something that hurt the hearts of his citizen.

Even MCA is not satisfied and asking if things do not change they would defect from Barisan. Everyone is sick and tired of this government. It is the minority of the Chinese and Indian that seems to be the swing vote somehow with the current Government. With this step taken by the PM and the DPM. It marks the end of the-minority-Chinese-that-supports-Malaysia is GONE!

This marks the end of the Malaysian Government by the Barisan National. Anwar for PM! By the way this is the first time I am actually supporting Anwar.

Racial Slurs!!

Merdeka just past. Everyone was saying we are Malaysian. We are not indian, Chinese or Malay. We are Malaysian. But is it true in all our hearts? Let's take a look:

We have people doing demonstrations for, "Mana Hak Melayu!" when something unfair to the Malay is done.
Indians and HINDRAF.
Racial slur by our Ketua Umno bahagian Bukit Bendera Datuk Ahmad Ismail towards the Chinese community.

Everyday in Malaysia we have racial slurs all over the place by the people in the news. But we live very well among each other. Malay, Indian and Chinese all living and working together every single day. Friends and lovers are all tied for one single unit.

But who is making all this racial tensions as they say? I have said this before in my previous post.. Click here to read it. Is it me? Or is it Malaysian citizen that realises who started the tensions?

LEADERS OF MALAYSIA!! STOP DOING ALL THIS RACIAL SHIT!! Don't poison the minds of our citizen. we know it is there but we are moving into blending with each other for God's SAKE!!

Avril Lavigne: Live In Malaysia

Come on Malaysia!! What is wrong with you guys?? Especially those of you in PAS. Come on Avril Lavigne when is she exposing for sexual attention? She is a punk rock princess!! Alright to be honest, no matter what field a woman is in, they would be turned into sexual objects. Look at table tennis, they are even turning to skirts. So ban every single sports in the world because they all wear skirts for their sports. Ban hockey, tennis, swimming, rock climbing for girls. All those can be said to be skimpily dressed as well!

Why do you have to make everything sexual? No wonder not much international concerts want to come here! Don't expect everyone to cover everything for concerts. Mariah Carey faced this problem when she was coming here to.

To make it more absurd, MalaysiaKini today reported they would do prayers at the entrance of the concert!!! What the heck?? How small is that thinking?? Stop all this madness please. The news of Malaysia banning Avril's concert got onto the news. How humiliating is that? Reason, deemed not suitable for Malaysian. OMG!!! Where am I going to put my face when I go abroad? Think before you guys makes such decision. Nothing is sexy till we think it is. If we don't think we are fine.

Nothing would be sexy or sexual, if we just look and don't think. Not to be rude but lets take a case.

If a member of the opposite sex strips in front of us, normal people would get disgusted or turned on. In a guys case, its more to be turned on. That is because we look and we let it go through our mind. If we just look and don't let it go through our mind, we are fine!! We can walk away from it. But we just have to put our head in. Nothing is sexy or sexual at all.

Come on la, guys can think of a girl all conservative and covered up as sexy as well. It is just how we see things! So stop being so conservative! The more you try to cover the more one would wanna know. If I do not allow my kids to watch TV, they would want to watch more because they are curious!! So stop making Malaysian Curious! Practice la "open tender"..

The Day in Permatang Pauh and Malaysia

Most Malaysian would consider tomorrow night as "D Night" for Malaysian politics. Many dirty tactics has been played by Barisan to topple the strong hold of Pakatan Rakyat. Such as the Saiful case as many have known, DAP "supporters" throwing stones into PKR rally and several under hand tactics that needs no introduction to how things are being played out by the Barisan party.

The fuel price has also been reduced by RM0.15 for this small election in Permatang Pauh. It was announced that it would only reduce petrol price by September. This give another reason why not to trust the government even more. True as they say, "Turn Harga Pun Salah, Tak Turun Harga Pun Salah." Taken from Pak Lah when he said, "Menang Banyak Pun Tak Boleh, Menang Sikit Pun Tak Boleh." That two days after the GE2008.

Then there is the listing drawn out by Barisan regarding if Pakatan Rakyat controls Malaysia. This is a step taken to topple Anwar as stating every single position and who would be taking the position. This is a method played to pull the Malay votes (cause most seats will be offered to the Chinese). This is exactly how Gerakan fell down during GE2008 in Penang. Considering whom to put as Chief Minister by Mr Koh.

Ah talking about Penang; It comes the point when Mr Lim announced 26 August 2008 was a public holiday for the Permatang Pauh election. It is a very good political move but a lousy overall move. The loss by the factories and business people in Penang. It was a daring move taken by Mr Lim. Well he was also threatened by a letter of death. MalaysiaKini

A twist in this election was the Imam that stood on PKR' s stage and said he was made to be witness that swearing of Saiful about the "liwat" case. It seems swearing in the Mosque is now an in-thing! Our Saiful has done it and even our VPM Najib has done it! Najib did it to clear his name that the murder of Altantuya has no connection to him. Its really in-thing. Thank God that Anwar didn't follow that step to clear his name for the "liwat" case. Or he could just be guilty as said? A question.

Tomorrow would be "D Night" for the decision for Malaysia's future. But to me there are still many more tactics under the arms of Barisan yet to used. There is an underground betting going on. During Saturday it was said people buying Anwar has to let off 10K votes. Today it doesn't look that good anymore, its down to 5K votes. (If you dont understand what i am saying, leave a comment I will get back to you.) When I say tactic, I mean Anwar has a high chance of being arrested before he can even enter the Parliament. Arrested by who? ISA la..

To be honest, all of us know it is mostly Anwar Ibrahim who has been making a big hoohaa in the Malaysian Political scene (other then Raja Petra of course). The government could easily use ISA to arrest Anwar. But if the Government does that, PKR supporters would go MAD! Literally! Then maybe Darurat should be announced when his arrested. All Anwar has is the support by the other 2 component in the Pakatan Rakyat, DAP and PAS.

What are the chances for Anwar to be arrested before he enters the Parliament? It is still almost a day too early to predict that Anwar would win tomorrow. But we all already know who would win don't we? So fellow readers the question now is, "Would Anwar be arrested before he enters Parliament?"

More Anwar, Saiful, Liwat Nonsense!!

How could someone go to a holy place and swears that his buttocks has been sodomised by someone else??

Does this make sense?? Somewhere holy to a specific religion and the religion that always fights for their rights!!

Then there has been of late a lot of, "Jangan Cabar Melayu" chants all over the place. Even at the forum by the Bar Council and at the University thingy. All this is done to give more chance for the general public to accept and progress further by means of social lifestyle.

It could be somewhat humiliating to have someone discuss about a specific religion or culture but if it helps the public to understand us more, why not? Bare the shame for the future of our children.

Maybe I am too young and too gullible. Which I know I am not!

Malaysia's Future

This is pure madness. I have been trying to log on to blogspot for the past 6 days and it has always been problems and errors. Anyway:

I have not be updating my blog as often as I used to I realise this. Personal issues and getting very bored with Malaysian politics. Imagine this, the peace and pride of the nation now rely on one guy's buttocks! This is if Anwar can be caught before he campaign to enter the Parliament. This has been in the front pages of Malaysian newspapers several days ago. How could this be the case at all?

Then there is the "probe" of Saiful's buttocks that has infringements and the court deciding to defend Najib from murder charges.

What has Malaysia turned into? Where is Abdullah Badawi? I am looking in The Star (August 3 2008) I have been flipping the pages and only saw one very small photo of Abdullah Badawi entering a Proton Saga. Then nothing else.

Even Indira Gadhi Murugiah's picture about stolen cooking utensils are much bigger. It is stupid for thiefs to break into charity homes and steal things. To whomever is doing this, Get A Life and Leave these homes alone!!

Back to the issue of Malaysia, remember Mahatir was the PM? His picture is almost on every page. What has happened to our own PM? Pak Lah be a man and kick everyone in the buttocks for once. Stop hoping for someone's buttock's probes to solve problems!!

Courts Defending Najib?

As many had already known about the high court not allowing Tiger of Jelutong to call upon Najib for the trial for Altantuya. U readers might know that I am not much of a fan of this case. But this current call has got me a little bit off.

I know about this news from last night from the chinese papers. This shows how screwed up the Malaysian legal system is. Let me give you reasons why:

Bala came out and said he found clues regarding the connection between Altantuya and Najib. Then Bala suddenly disappear! Then reappear, then nothing happened di. Odd? There was a big hu-ha when Bala came out and said, "I have proof!" Now its all settled. It is actually proof there is a connection. If not why a normal person wanna come out and drag the Deputy PM into hot water?
Is it because Najib is the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia as one of the reason why the court refuse to be called upon? No reason that I read off why he cannot be called upon. Does this mean he cannot be charged in court if Najib was really wrong?

So as a normal Malaysian citizen, I will look at it this way; If I want to get away from being suspected of murder, hold a power position.

Raja Petra and Datuk Seri Anwar

Two big faces (not heels) of the political world in Malaysia are going behind bars again. Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy and Raja Petra for the Altantuya case. Would this actually bring peace to the already broken government of Malaysia? Or is this a method used by Pak Lah and his government to put themselves back on track. Showing to the world, "We are still a strong country and nothing is wrong."

From my point of view, it is the latter. It is a way to cover and defend the Barisan seat as the government. I bet it won't take a genius to figure this out. Let look at the facts, Anwar has been burning the government's buttocks like its a barbeque pit and Raja Petra is going high and low to dig out Altantuya's case has connection with Najib. Come on, one is attacking the King the other is attacking his successor.

Remember the case of Bala? I bet he has been taken out of the country by someone. If not why does a sodomy case comes out in the middle of nowhere? How is it possible? Everything is going right for Anwar, why would he wanna destroy it? He has not stopped working since he came out of the ISA. Why would he destroy his hardwork by doing something so stupid?

True to some sense as they say, Man and Lust could destroy their career. But I bet Anwar Ibrahim is a man smarter then the Average Joe. He landed on hot soup at first with Sukma during Dr M's time. So history repeating himself?

It would be time before all this happen again. This would all explode again. Give it time. This time Anwar is not arrested under ISA. So there is a chance of survival. Anwar should take this time to recuperate and redo all his plans.

Bala and the missing-ness

I am back!! To all my readers.. I am finally back!! I have been checking on ShinyStat and Google Analytic, I realised readers in my site are getting constant. Roughly around 50 a day. This is excellent! So I thought to myself lets not stop here and lets carry on.

One of the biggest highlights (other then the fuel rise crisis), is the connection between Najib's wife and Altantuya. I am not much of a fan for the Altantuya's case. All I know is some guy and a 2 cops blew her up with C4. That was about it and oh yeah the confusion of two Altantuya from Mongolia. Wrong Altantuya in the first place then only they clarify it. Pity the model Altantuya.

Then now with Raja Petra running wild and digging things up, Najib's wife now comes into the picture. Then not long later Anwar taking advantage of it and ask Bala to investigate into the case. This was after Anwar was said to have sodomised someone (again?). Then that sodomy was hot air as the press concentrated more in Bala and his disappearence.

Hmm Bala the day when he released the reports for his investigations on Altantuya's murder in connectiong with Najib, he looked really bright and proud of what he has done. Do you guys realise that? Then the day after that when he pulled back his report and did a press interview he looked really down. The day after he disappeared.

Do anyone find this thing very suspicious? He claimed his life was threatened. Thats the reason he got out of the country he said. I am suspecious of that. To be hired by Ex Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia to investigate into a case that involves the current Deputy Prime Minister in connection with murder will need a huge amount of cash to do it and not forgetting GUTS. Common sense tells me this. Then how could Bala just pull back the report just like that? Was he bought? Or was he just scared? If he was scared, why doesn't Anwar promise him protection? It was Anwar's order.

Bala should have known this would happen if he takes up the investigation. But he carried on anyway. Then he said his life was threatened and he ran away. Something is amiss here.

Our Malaysian Government is now very messed up. People are losing trust of the Government and the leaders. Yet they are generating their own agendas like kids fighting for a chance to be in a game of police and thief. People whom I talk to about politics are getting bored of the Malaysian political scene. Instead we would just sit by the coffee shop and "cuci mata" instead.

The Government should focus now on the people. How to make the people's life easier? Not by giving free cash away or "fight over spilled milk". The fuel price are making prices of things going up like there is no sky. I am in the Furniture industry, there would be another increase in price in another 2 months time. The current price has increased by 20% and there would be another rise. Customer's would die and indirectly us business people would die as well!

So come on! Get your acts together, I am not intersted in how many years Pak Lah is gonna retire, I am interested what are you going to do in 2 years to make the people's life much more confortable!

The 100 Days

Remember when Penang changed federal government? Back during the 8 March? Yeah I know the 100 Days is already a long time and I am outdated about it. But I need time to sit down and think what has happened within the last 100 days.

Alright during the 100 days review, Gerakan came out and said, "The new Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government has yet to fulfill any of the promises they made." So now lets review again, Mr Koh said he want to turn Penang into Singapore in 10 years time. This is the 9th year and we are not even close thats one of the reason why Gerakan lost. Did anyone remember Mr Koh was deciding who would be the next Chief Minister is? It was all over the papers. They were so smuck about it that they were relaxed and lost.

Come on though nothing major has happened in Penang just yet, its just 100 days give them a chance to fulfill it in their 5 years. All that has happened was questioning the missing documents from the previous Government, the land issue, the rally when Mr Lim wanna abandon NEP, find out about the bridge and its cost and saying they wanna give Penang-ite RM100/=. Thats practically about it and oh yeah I forgot and announcing Penang has turned poor to the public.

Thats about it. Thats why I always said, "let's wait and see!"

SAPP: Should I Say More?

SAPP?! I didn't know about this news at all till i came home this evening from messing around Penang. SAPP maybe jumping. I jumped up my seat. Well I don't really mean literally jumping across to join Pakatan Rakyat. But I bet this gave a big big grin on Anwar's face. No wonder during the "Evening With The Leaders" he looks pretty happy.

Its really funny you see. At first, Pak Lah had his only support from Sabah and Sarawak to maintain as the government of Malaysia. He insist he still wins even though the whole Barisan party is crippled during GE2008. Maybe Pak Lah applied, "Never Say Die" Policy. *laughs out loud*

In response to that policy, biggest party in Sabah is almost calling quits after being sick and tired of Barisan indirectly leaving them. Anwar was in Sabah and Sarawak. So was Pak Lah. But in the end Pak Lah got the "No Confidence Motion" by SAPP. *laughs again*

When I read it on MalaysiaKini, the first thing was I burst out laughing. I know before I have been saying negative stuff about Pakatan's motion to take over federal government but since the price increase and some senses knocked into me I am not in support of that. SAPP should do their thing. One of the interesting point from SAPP that I found interesting.

Rakyat telah hilang kepercayaan terhadap kepimpinan kerajaan di bawah Datuk Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. SAPP juga berpendapat bahawa sekiranya pemimpin atasan tidak boleh melaksanakan tanggungjawab dengan berkesan, ia seharusnya berundur dan memberi laluan kepada pemimpin lain mengambil alih.

This is actually true. I am quite confident to say most Malaysian has already given up hope on Pak Lah. One is how the fuel increase is managed, second Pak Lah coming under fire over and over by Malaysians and thirdly Never see his face when Major things happen for example the Bandar Mahkota Cheras. There were blood stains and Pak Lah was no where to be seen. Lets see what would he do when the 5 July fuel march happens. Read my previous post look right for links.

SAPP, we will see what happens this Friday. Anwar and Pakatan Rakyat can now sleep peacefully. Anwar can sleep soundly cause no need to worry about KJ's threats. *laughs and falls to the ground*

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

By now, you're probably thinking petrol priced at about $1.50 is cheap.
It is currently RM2.70 for regular unleaded.

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a liter of gas is CHEAP at $1.50, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their petrol! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying petrol.

But we CAN have an impact on petrol prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY petrol from Petronas
the biggest price-up driver company.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Petronas petrol buyers. It's SO simple!
Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions and even BILLIONS of people!!

I am sending this note to 20 people.

Evening With The Leaders

When I arrived at the City Stadium people were still packing in. Everyone was welcomed with the people who were collecting 1 Million signatures to go against the petrol price hike. I did my share of venting frustration in that signature collection. At 9 pm, the stadium was packed with people from various races and ages. At 9:15 PM sharp, the speakers of the night stepped in with huge roars of, Reformasi! Reformasi! echoed through the stadium. The speech are in order.

Tuan Haji Mohammad Sabu (Hadi Awang was not able to attend)

He kicked off the night with a very hot speech regarding the various manifesto of the Pakatan Rakyat's during the election which came under attack by the Barisan component. He said, "Its just 3 months since we won the election. Yet we are under attack already. Come on newly weds would also take 9 months to have their first child." Which drew huge laughter from the crowd. He also said great success comes from ground up and everyone should work together. He also brought up about Najib's wife's shopping escapade to Harrods while Najib is telling Malaysian to change our lifestyle and live moderately. How much of a nonsense is that? Really started up the night. Good speech!

Lim Kit Siang

Kit Siang's speech was a little mellow and didn't grab much attention of the people. Almost 60% of the people in attendance were Malays but Kit Siang spoke mostly in Mandarin which I myself have a little bit of problem understanding. But it all breaks down like this.

It was because of the political tsunami that has allowed us to gather in the City Stadium this evening. He also questioned how are Malaysian suppose to believe what the government is saying now when they say there is no increase till August but instead it all changed the next day. Then he also spoke of how Pak Lah was able to gain back the trust of the leaders in Sabah and Sarawak by giving higher allocation for development compared to those in Peninsular Malaysia. He also touched the case of Port Kelang which I don't really understand.

It was a mellow speech. Maybe old age catching up?

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim

A huge round of applause and roar were heard around the stadium when he was welcomed.

Since it was Penang, he spoke of how fair Penang is to all races under the leadership of Lim Guan Eng. The strength of country or state based on how stable the politics are which shows a very strong Penang.

Racial card being played by Barisan party shows that they are desperate. Very desperate.

Malays are my children. Chinese are my children. Indians are my children.

These words he said would be taken by the BN to take out "Malay are my children" to defeat him. BN are making false statements here and there be cause they show signs of desperation. Then it was his topic for the night, fuel prices.

He said as former financial minister, he knows Malaysia is a very rich country from the Petronas's profit estimated up to RM100 Billion and various taxes being collected. Yet they are putting up the prices of fuel. Look at Indonesia, he said. They produce oil which are not enough to use that is the reason they are importing in more fuel. Yet they pay per liter much lower then what Malaysians are paying per liter.

He also spoke of how Malaysian education are dropping off the charts and failing due to the university not being able to hire good professors. The government are not willing to hire good professors to teach our children. Malaysian Economic Agenda should be introduced so all Malaysians can enjoy the prosperity of the country.

At one point of the speech he asked, "Who wants the Corridor? Raise their hands!" No one raised and kept quiet, "Who wants lower fuel prices? Raise your hands!" Everyone raised and roar for support, "If that is the case, what are you waiting for?"

Lim Guan Eng

Being popular to give his greetings to the people first being in Malay then in Mandarin and ending it with Tamil. At one point during is speech when he spoke hokkien, people started leaving and Guan Eng immediately changed it back to Malay to get back the attention from the people who were leaving. It worked!

He also touched on the political tsunami of GE2008 that ended Barisan's 50 years of being the government.

The price increase of fuel is extreme. Where is there such a thing where one shot a country up their fuel prices by 63%? If that is the case, only available in Malaysia. Can enter Guinness Book of Record already. But one person ask me, "Mr Lim there is another country even better." Where I asked him? "Myanmar up the fuel by 500%!" I thought to myself who want to compare themselves to Myanmar. In short, BN=Barang Naik. So in order for Barang to turun, Barisan must turun first.

That brought laughter from the crowd. He also spoke how Petronas gets RM800 Billion but does not share it with the people. Instead the government should allocate RM 6000 a year to a family that has earnings less the RM6000 a month. This totals up to approximately RM 30 Billion. What is RM 800 Billion to RM30 Billion. Correct?

He also said the government should be run based on CAT (Competency, Accountability and Transparency). He knows the people are suffering from the fuel increase, he says the government of Penang would "ikat perut" with the people. His aim is to allocate RM100 per month to all middle income to lower income family. He does not know how to get the money but he says even if he has to "ikat perut" to fulfill that, he will do it for the people. Its always the people before the party goals. He went on to criticise the people who criticise him for hiring and opposition party member to work for the government.

The evening ended sharp at 11 pm. The exit from the stadium was very badly managed as only one small door was open for people to exit the stadium. It was horrible to exit the place even it was an enjoyable evening.

The Hot Soup

Remember several post ago I brought Up Pak Lah In Hot Soup? Here is the recipe for that particular soup. It’s just meant for laughs based on real life situation. Take note of the numbers, the mixture and the initials used for proper good soup.

Recipe for The Hot Soup

1 Whole Bone of General Election 2008
1 Set Opposition Party
2 Rallies
A handful of Bloggers
A full 250mg of KJ
Some sleeping pills, 513, ISA

Preparation

Take all the sleeping pills, 513 and ISA and mix it together with the 250mg of KJ. Add some warm water just enough to mix them all up properly. Stir them thoroughly and make sure it is all diluted nicely into a nice smelling sauce.

The Soup

Take the prepared sauce from the previous step and mix it around the whole bone of GE2008.
After applying it all thoroughly on the GE2008 let it marinate for 4 hours in the fridge. Let the GE2008 feel comfortable in the cool fridge during the 4 hour.
During that time, chop off the set of opposition party into 3 slices. It will turn out nicely into DAP, keADILan and PAS. Then slice the two rallies apart and it should also nicely fall out to Bersih and HINDRAF.
After the 4 hours, take out the GE2008 from the fridge and set it aside. Pour in 13 litres of water into a big pot and then put in the GE2008. Throw in the cut up opposition party and rallies into the soup. Throw in that handful of bloggers and let the soup boil till a nice smell of success is in the air.
You can now serve fellow angry Malaysians. You can garnish the soup with some price increase, M M’s and a good AI can really make the soup more presentable.

Petrol heads dies..

Alright when Pak Lah continued to dig a hole for himself that is even deeper, he announced that petrol price would increase by RM0.78. This is done by over ruling all other things the Government said previously. For example, petrol price would only hike by August and Thailand and Singapore are not allowed to pump petrol at our petrol stations at our borders.

Has Pak Lah responded to any Malaysian's cry about the fuel price? No.. Yet again he just kept quiet and hide so did Najib. These two just keep quiet about it. What is wrong? You are our leader and we need your respond to what we cry to you about. All you do is just keep quiet. Remember when Tun M was Prime Minister? He is always the first person on the local news to talk about something. Not Pak Lah and Najib though.

Why did I call this post "Petrol heads die"? Simple really, petrol is expensive so are our cars. So naturally no one would buy cars if the petrol keeps rising. This includes our countries beloved Proton would lose customer because a small simple car like the useless Proton Wira; which is gutless, old and not reliable. I would rather get a less powered car like the 850cc Viva then own one of that.

Since the government likes to compare petrol prices with countries that doesn't produce petrol, lets compare the prices of the car between Malaysia and the UK.

Alright from all that, its local car and why are Malaysian paying so much? Lets not compare when we convert the price. Why can the people in UK sell the car so cheap when we are making the car? Why can't they lower the price so people can afford it? One can easily buy used below £ 1000. Ours we need at least RM8000 thats if for a beat up Perodua Kancil.

Lets not continue with the car in Malaysia using APs. The Honda and Toyota for example we would need at least RM80000 to get our hands on one of its lower class models. The City and the Vios. Those are for the new car. As we know it is because of the taxes the Government put on the imported cars. The taxes is absurd! As I know is 200%!!

The Government increases the price petrol higher then the countries that produces petrol. The Government still refuse to lower the taxes of cars.

So my conclusion is, if the Government revises the price of petrol so often that it rises each time, no one would buy cars. This in the end Proton and Perodua would also close down for business soon enough.

Looking back at the weeks that past and months that has past, this year is filled with natural disasters, people going mad and wild, and leaders of the world trying to fry the world apart. It pretty much reminds me of the days my brother was building a city in SimCity 3000. Let me explain how my brother is similar to what is happening now.

He spends hours a day trying to build the city of his dream. It usually takes about a day or two before he gets what he wants. At the end of the day, he will just put natural disasters all over his city so he could rebuild it. This is similar to what is happening in real life.

Man-kind has spent over millions of years to build a world that is able to give each and every day of our lives much easier. Since the dinosaur age, man-kind has been using spear to help hunting and fire to keep warm. Then slowly as man gets smarter and wiser we are able to fly like the birds, travel faster than horses and communicate with people from different tribes though it is now different nations. But man-kind is slowly destroying it like destroying a SimCity.

Global warming has been at large on publicity. Al Gore has been climbing into everyone’s butt hole to get their attention by producing short films, movies and advertising to keep people aware about it. Then there is also Leonardo DiCaprio whom is trying his hand on global warming other than producing love-sick flicks for the people. Hybrid cars are being produced most car manufacturers except for Lamborghini, Ferrari and TVR to name a few manufacturers. But has the whole world paid any attention to the melting ice in both North and South Poles? Has majority of the world leaders paid any attention to global warming instead of thinking of themselves? Did Hillary Clinton stop her campaigning when she knew she was losing and donated that money she was campaigning to global aid? Did Anwar Ibrahim stop going around collecting support for his “To Capture Malaysian Government” and look at the problem at hand? Did you bring shopping bags to shopping instead of taking plastic bags?

The answer is a big fat NO!

Why would I want to bring up this matter on a Malaysian Political blog? Simple reason, if there is no longer human being or no longer having land there will no longer be politics, music, life and love. It is been predicted in 2012, all ice on the poles would have melted. Thus water level rising and we human would have lost a lot of land. Then by 2012, there are predictions on how Earth is going to be destroyed. As we know 2012 is basically 4 years away, it may be too late to save the only home we humans have. But we could all stand in hand together and help to at least die fighting. Global warming has been around since 1970s but no one cared and called it a myth.

This morning I switched on CNN and saw continuous news about earthquakes, abnormal heavy downpours, drought and human running wild. We have reached a state where the bible will call it Armageddon. We human are still selfish as ever, I admit I am as well. We human will always try to think of things that will bring advantage to ourselves.

Leaders of the world are thinking of themselves as well. Look at Hilary Clinton which is now in debt with all her campaigning, Malaysia rising fuel price even though we are producing oil and G8 asking to dig more oil to prevent recession. We are using so much of Earths resources so much the Earth is getting exhausted. The Earth is not able to recover in time from the rising population on Earth.

It is simple to start actually. Let’s start with one field that makes the world move, business. As we know, several countries have banned the use of plastic bags, introduced hybrid vehicles and encourage the use of bio-fuel. How could man-kind start with this? Drastic and maybe nonsense suggestions to some:

Economy is men made thing. Ignore this just for once to try save Earth. Without Earth or population; there is no need for technological innovation, marketing plans, exchange rate and most of all profit making. It is a crazy idea but it has to be done. Or else people would just spend time salvage what they have and recover when Earth makes its major adjustment since the Dinosaur Age.
The Government of the World or Leader of the World (claimed by the United States), should come out and make it a rule to help Earth. Desperate time calls for desperate measure. We humans would have to adapt to the change if we still want to continue with our greed after this major hurdle. Making laws and rules are important to help Earth.
Start using paper bags, recycle, bio-fuel, car pooling and tear down the walls of different religions and most important of all HUMAN EGO! If we don’t act now, our ego can’t help man-kind to keep staying on Earth.

Let me leave you readers with points to ponder:

Do we human want to go back to the time where dinosaurs were wiped out when they ruled the Earth? If this global warming issue is at its peak, we humans will be the next victim. As we know, petroleum comes from remains of previous age. Do we want to be the petroleum for the next unknown age?

Pak Lah Cooking Hot Soup

What does it feel like stirring and watching the fire to boil a soup for you to kill yourself? I think our beloved Pak Lah would know. Just briefly through; At first it was the sleeping matter where he was caught napping at an event then at UMNO's Meeting. Then bringing up May 13, then failed to control all matters in and out of office. Then rumours of his son-in-law running the show. Then the massive loss of the Barisan party of all time since Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Time after time our Pak Lah has continuously failed to perform as expected of him. Look at several matters the he himself stated he wanted to control.

First he said he wanted to arrest and punish rasuah aka bribes within his government and during his reign. Then when the castle of the demised Zakaria was built he was not checked. The only traces of what Pak Lah did to fight bribery was the badge and stickers on the policemen saying, "Saya Anti Rasuah"/"Don't Bribe Me" at the back of the police car.

Second he said he wanted to develop agriculture in Malaysia. Now we have the problem of food shortage. I know its global crisis but if he would have done that and concentrate his attention on his aim instead of dozing off; we would not have our mothers rushing to supermarkets to buy rice with scared of rice shortage. If things are managed better.

Third, this happen just this week. We were told that our petrol prices would rise by August and 04 June 2008 is only to announce how much the rise is. Then a few days (most probably two days) before we Malaysians were told that foreign vehicles from neighbouring countries would not be allowed to pump petrol at borders of Malaysia. Then on 04 June itself the petrol price would immediately rise on 05 June 2008 AND the ban for neighbouring vehicles to pump in Malaysia is lifted!

How are we Malaysians accept our government and what Pak Lah said? The Government has repeatedly shown how it is poorly managed. For the latest problem on fuel, it just show when Shahrir announced petrol rise by August and then Pak Lah announcing the rise the day after that, there are no coordination in the government. Promises are failed to be kept over and over again. The Zakaria Castle also shown one of Pak Lah's weakness to work for what he believes.

Foreign Car Ban on Fueling in Malaysia

Its off!! Why is it about several days.. I mean several days ago, they say, "No foreign vehicles are allowed to refuel in Malaysian borders." Then yesterday night, we don't have to ban it anymore. How could a government retract their words and their orders so fast? Lets not go to the "August-Only-Petrol-Price-Will-Go-Up-Scheme" that we Malaysians have to endure on such a short notice on petrol hike. If they just waited for another 3 months for cushioning there won't be such a big reaction from Malaysians. Why the sudden change? Or do you, The Government, like to come under fire from your citizens?

This is nonsense how are we Malaysian or maybe just me being unable to trust the government's words. They promise something today it may not be the same tomorrow.. Tell me your view my readers.

Pak Lah, please get your act straight. Your shooting your own foot over and over then over again. Don't you feel your feet bleeding and almost gone from existance?

Malaysian Petrol Price Hike: Effects & Possible Solutions

Disclaimer: The following text was what I was able to hear and put it into points according to what people are saying on the streets and coffee shops.

A massive jam when I was going home from work. It was horrible. I didn’t know till I heard people from the bike saying petrol price hike up by RM1. I was shocked to hear it. That was roughly 6:10PM then the information was corrected by my friend Teik. It was only a rise of RM0.78. Then more shockingly it will be effective tonight at 0000 hour. Hey I thought it was suppose to be effective by August! So we kena tipu la? Correct? As calculated, since 2004 petrol has gone up 97%! While diesel up by 230%! So it was since Pak Lah took over. Is he unlucky due to the global petrol price hike or are there doubts?

Effects of Price Hike

Increase of crime rate is definitely the case. Higher standard of living means we need more pay. The poor will be at hike as well. The root of price hike has rose but the pay is still the same. So what is a quick way for money to simple minded and desperate people? Steal, rob and mugging would be at large. It is time for the cops to be on their toes. By the way there was a big jam this evening when the announcement of price hike but the traffic police is nowhere to be seen! People were clogging up the yellow box and stuck at traffic lights. No traffic police to control this. What??!!
As we all know from last night, we were told the price hike would only be applicable during August. But their words were twisted! It will be effective tomorrow! How are we supposed to trust what the government says? In order for our beloved Datuk Shahrir to announce about the price hike by August, he would need the approval from our Pak Lah. Am I right? Then suddenly after the meeting the decision was made and it will be effective by 0000 hour tonight. Should we now trust what the government say? This is just not my words, these are the words I heard when I was having dinner at a coffee shop nearby. So now the question is, before Datuk Shahrir announce about the petrol hike effective by August approved by Pak Lah? Oh yeah, I heard one Ah Pek said, “Aiya, Pak Lah still sleeping.” What is the problem of waiting for 3 more months? Its more cushion for Malaysian to accept then going under fire by bloggers and Malaysians.
In local terms, “Things can eat or cannot eat also go up ah!” The root of all economy usually starts with fuel. Am I not right? Fuel is used to power up power stations, now power is on the rise by July! No long later our favourite Char Koay Teow will rise to RM4 per plate or Wan Tan Mee to RM3.50 per plate. Should I continue to paper, computer goods, furniture and other stuff? It would rise as well.
Though with the sudden rise in petrol price, the government offered a RM650 rebate to car owners and RM150 to motorcycle owners; would this offer more chances to “pocketing”? Though this entire subsidy would be used via renewal of road tax but it is time before one smart man is able to make a lot of money out of this. Won’t it be a better idea if they take the money and put it into the petrol subsidy? How many million cars are there in Malaysia? Oh yeah there are still old cars left by the forest that we can take advantage of. I am able to make this up as one of the loopholes in that system.

Possible Solutions

Better public transport. Our public transport now lacks efficiency. I am able to see two Rapid Penang busses moving together. How could this happen? Then about Transit Link, as I heard there are busses that goes off course just to be able to gain a few ringgit.
Abandon all Mega projects! It is now time to concentrate on improving our Malaysian’s lifestyle. Projects like PGCC, Second-Link Bridge and Subway/Monorail throw it away. Take that money on improving a better like for Penangite and Malaysians. All we need is better public transportation like the busses. I am satisfied with Rapid Penang’s services but they need more efficiency. Ok if Penang does need a Mega Projects, look at Trams! Penang road maybe small but there are solutions to it. That was said by tram experts. So look into that save the money on improving life in Malaysia.
A really New Economic Policy. Not the current one. We should pay attention to the under privileged Malaysians. Now with petrol hike, the poor will get poorer that is for sure. We have to focus on all poor Malaysian not just the Bumiputras. What about the non-bumiputras? The poor non-bumiputras would be in a really bad state. Time to look at a new economic plan. The petrol rebates are temporary solutions. Not smart to do this. Malaysia Economic Agenda anyone?

These are several solutions I could think of as a person who do not have much economic knowledge. What I know is based on my thoughts and thinking of a normal Malaysian and what I heard and read. I was about to bring up bio-fuel but food crisis better not.

Malaysia's Petrol Future

As I just heard from Astro AEC's Evening Edition, our petrol prices might be following international prices. They have estimated it will go up to RM3.8x per liter from our current RM1.92 per liter. Then the price may fluctuate daily following the international market. So there is a posibility of RM 4.xx per liter! What the heck!!

NIGHTMARE!!

In this case then the government will no longer subsidise our petrol. Thus Petronas money goes where?? If they don't use Petronas money to subsidise our fuel, how are we going to keep up with our low salary with rising living cost? How could this happen? What is the government considering? When Mr Lim Guan Eng suggest to use Petronas money to build the second link bridge, Pak Lah says no cause they wanna use the money to subsidise things like petrol. Now different story! What the heck!!

They will have another meeting tomorrow to confirm this matter and announce it to the public and it will be active by August. Will update this post tomorrow once its confirmed.

Bumiputras vs Non-Bumiputras

Negaraku, Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku.

These are the first two lines of the national anthem of Malaysia. For literal translation, “My country, my motherland of birth.” Somewhere around there I am not able to find the literal translation to it. If that verse really means what it means, it means we are all treated as equal and no one in the country will be marginalised or treated unfairly. This is untrue in a lot of circumstances.

The term bumiputra and non-bumiputra has shown how races have been marginalised. As we know bumiputra are the Malays and the local ethnicity like the Iban and Kadazans. Then the non-bumiputra is the majority Chinese and Indians.

The advantage of being a bumiputra is obvious when it comes to education. JPA scholarships as of late is being reconsidered for an almost equality to the non-bumiputra. Then there is the acceptance to local universities after Form 6 and getting first choice. Most students from Form 6 who does not do well and they are non-bumiputras are usually given their second choice and third choice. I have also seen bumiputras whom has the same results as those non-bumiputras were given their first choice. This has left non-bumiputras no choice either to work or going for private education through scholarship or student loans. Now is this fair?

Most Malaysian students (including me) have a dilemma after Form 5. Should I enter college or Form 6? I already had my choice made when I got 7D for my Bahasa (gosh! I am saying this). Then there is the problem of money. How are we students are going to bare our cost if we enter college? Loans? “Pa+Ma” Scholarship from the richer families? Or if the SPM results are released we can go for scholarships either from The Star or other scholarships. These are the dilemma that usually goes through a student’s head after Form 5. It is even worst when it comes to the non-bumiputras because we have to pick a proper path that if possible do not burden our parents or if possible don’t take loans. Well if we apply for loans we might not get it anyway except cause it is given to the Bumiputras. All that is left for us is the crappy PTPTN loans.

Then it all came down when the government says students who have gone abroad to further their studies has refused to come back to Malaysia and “Berkhidmat Untuk Negara” years ago. Come on, usually these students are students from the private institutions. These are the students who have struggled to get to what they want. They were not given the advantages from the government financially. They were thrown aside and some chose other ways knowing when the finish Form 6 they won’t get their first choice anyway. Then they want them to come back and work for an employer who has not seen their potentials when they ask for help.

To be fair, we Malaysians are lucky to be able to be given free education for 11 to 13 years of our lives. Thank you Malaysia for that. But you guys have to admit your education system sucks! Especially during Form 3 moving on to Form 4 it is crap. It is such a huge leap! First we were just learning science that was so basic and then in Form 4 and 5 we have Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Now science in English. Alamak! Your trainee teachers as I heard from a friend; can’t even speak proper English. They are the future teachers. Look at your own training facilities that you use to train teachers whom is about to teach the leaders of the world.

The non-bumiputra has never had anything thrown to us from the government. We all have to work from ground up to what we are today. I am Chinese and I know how my parents, my great great grandparents have struggled to stay alive in this marginalised country. I am glad and proud to say; it was all worth it. Reason being we are taught that nothing is free in this world. We have to work hard for it in order to make our dreams come through.

I am very bold to say; if since day one, NEP was not introduced we would have a chance of being as developed or even better then Singapore. Bumiputras have all the advantages in the world thrown to them by the government. If you give everything a baby wants, when he/she grows up they would tend to be spendthrift and do not know the value of working hard. The meaning of hard earned money and fame. Not forgetting the baby would be a lazy kid. They know if they want something from their parents, all they need to do is frown, groan and cry for attention.

Like they say; if you give a man fish, he will die the next day. If you teach the man how to fish, he would live on. Malaysia should be ruled as Malaysia not based on ethnicity. We are all Malaysian and we should all have equal rights. Maybe we should adopt Malaysian Economic Agenda drawn by Datuk Seri Anwar. Read it properly fellow bumiputras. It is not much different from the New Economic Policy.

Well I might be a little bit outdated bout the Cheras thing. But the brutality i saw from YapThomas's blog was really an eye opener and the final tick for me.

FRU and PDRM of Malaysia. HINDRAF had a peaceful rally. 5 leaders arrested, water cannon, tear gas and force were used. While in Penang, the Anti-ISA protest. 7 were arrested. Remember the UMNO rally in Penang? Blocking out the city centre during lunch time? None was arrested. NONE!! What the heck??

Then the brutality. Though its a subjective question on what has happened. Did Chang, try to run over a police force? or did FRU just dragged him out to be beaten? This is subjective only the people whom were involved which is Chang, FRU and the buddies in Chang's car. But as I read from various sources they say he didn't want to run anyone over.

Then there was the broken baton as I read as evidence that Chang ran an officer over. Hey, that baton can be broken with a help of a few officers la. It was reported the officer that got ran over was unscathed when he approached. But those are just reports. I am not there. But then so many member beating up a person. Where are the morals and Islamic studies these FRU people learn when they were in Sekolah Menengah? Or human compassion? Or were they only trained to be violence? Well I know several FRU policemen before they are nice people but how could that case in Cheras turned so ugly?

I watched the video and so many men in batons, shields, helmets and boots beating up a person. This is not called upholding justice! This is wrong! Its like watching Ah Long beating up a person whom owes them money. We need some explanation on this matter from the FRUs.

The road being closed is another matter. But how could so many police force gang up on one 21 year old man? Or is FRU just built up for violence? Share your views my readers. This is just wrong..

Unity of Malaysia.. Is it being questioned?

Racial tension have been rising as of lately. Well to be honest not us Malaysian citizen that is causing it. I feel it is the politician, the racial active bloggers and press stirring things up. Yes there are still racist people (which are a small portion) in Malaysia even we live in a diverse culture. As we know the majority of races are Malay, Chinese and Indian. The question is why is tension raised by the press, the media after the General Election 2008? Then why during Tun M was around there were no racial problems arising on the daily newspaper? I don’t know how you do it Tun M, but man, I respect you for it!

During the election fever and the rally weeks, Barisan National brought up the May 13 issue which was not necessary. Maybe be because of the opposition which are almost race based. We all know which is which am I right? So can’t really blame them for it. But now with Pakatan Rakyat, I am confident to say it is all behind us now. *Hopes*

Then there is the Indian temple issue, HINDRAF rally, UMNO rally. All these racial issues were raised because of how the government ran before the GE2008. Am I right? Correct me if I am wrong. There was not much of an issue till the Indian temple was demolished and HINDRAF comes in. That is when the Indian community of Malaysia realised that they are not represented well by MIC. MIC is not doing their job to stand up for the Indians. MIC should have stood up and said something so the Tsunami 2008 may not happen.

Shall we go back to primary school? Go to a co-ed public school of Malaysia. We see children at the age of 7 till 12 all mixing very well. We don’t see them fighting and calling each other racist names. Am I right? Reason is children are the most naive, most innocent and most open to anything new. So they will receive new friends instantly even they are the silent and loner. They will have friends from Malay, Chinese and Indians in Sabah and Sarawak the ethnic peoples. Are the leaders of Malaysia trying to change that to the worst?

We are taught not to bring up any racial issues in Malaysia as we are living in a multi-cultural society. Yet our beloved leaders of Malaysia brings up the issue of May 13, HINDRAF running wild, UMNO holding rally because of small issues and demolishing temples. Aren’t they shooting themselves on the foot? It is like thieves telling the sons and daughters not to steal and rob.

Teachers in my primary school told me to learn from our parents and our leaders. So are we suppose to learn about bringing up dark histories? Race? Fight like kids in the parliament? Act like hooligans on a stage and in the eye of the nation?

Then now the government wants to stop Malaysians from bringing up May 13. Hey, it wasn’t the Malaysians who brought them up. It was you guys who brought it up. I have a lot of Malay friends, Indian friends and friends from other countries. We have lunch, dinner, watch movies and even work together. We don’t have any tension here at all.

But it is true Malaysia is still building a united nation with diverse cultures. I still see a lot of people going out for lunch with people of their own “familiar cliques”. Cause it is easier to pick a place to eat and cultural difference. But we can work with each other anytime. It takes some time for students from pure Chinese/Indian/Malay school students to come out and actually accept each other after we graduate. But we would eventually get there. NATURALLY!

So do you guys agree with me saying that it is those aggressive political talks, aggressive-race-based NGOs and maybe some brain-washed Malaysian that stereotype races that is the problem? I feel most Malaysian have no racial problems with our colleagues, classmates and peers.

So my dear Leaders of Malaysia, the mainstream press; Do you want to actually see one day a Malaysian high school having racial fights every day? Do you want a day where kids aka future leaders to have prejudice towards each other because of race and ethnicity? Do you want our children to one day go to school every single day feeling scared of being bullied because of being Chinese or Indian or Malay? Do you want public schools to be like schools in the United States? Shooting sprees, racial bullies, name calling? What do you think this child who grows up in that environment and lead the Malaysia to be good and without prejudice?

We Malaysians have made our choice during the GE2008 which I have a share to shape. So lead Malaysia as Malaysia. Not to be continuously called an Islamic State or Islamic Country. Remember we are Malaysia which is made out of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Kadazan, Bajau and other ethnicity. We promote to the world of tourism as, “A colourful country with diverse cultures, ethnicity and friendly people.” But are we? I know I am not racial biased. But are you?

I had a brief discussion with several friends of mine about the white school uniform. They all laughed when it was brought up and when it appeared on MalaysiaKini. It was even harder when The Star published it. I am not angry here.. I am just laughing.

Then this evening when I open up MalaysiaKini and read, "Muslimat: Baju Sekolah Memang 'Seksi'" I almost fell down laughing my butt off. Look at the following point from MalaysiaKini made by the PAS;

"Dewan Muslimat percaya bahawa pendirian beberapa pihak yang menolak mentah-mentah akan wujudnya hubungan antara pakaian dan jenayah seks adalah dibuat berdasarkan pandangan peribadi, pandangan sekumpulan kecil mereka dan bukannya pandangan masyarakat teramai di seluruh negara,"

Let me translate that: "We believe parties that rejects and do not really consider this matter is because they have their personal view. It is just a small group of people not the nationwide view"

Go ask anyone on the street. Ask their view on this matter. Then we will see how "small" this group of people is? I feel the disagreement of this matter would be another "tsunami". Even Hishammuddin does not agree in reviewing the uniform matter. So why are they still making noise over it. I know I am as well. I just wanna share my views. Again.

I feel it all comes down to how a person thinks when they see something. A man would not get excited or turned on when they see a naked woman strip in front of them and they don't think and just look. Am I right? It is hard for men to do that though. But it can be done. So when they say its to protect the girls from being a victim of rape. First attack the wolf, not the sheeps.

A guy can think all they want even the girl is all covered up, properly dressed. I always believe in two phrases, "The more you want to protect, The more it will break out" and "Curiosity Kills The Cat." I feel they should just leave matter alone. Let it pass by.

I received and email this morning which I feel is true to the mentality of women and men. This maybe generalisation but I bet most people would have seen it before and actually laughed when they first saw it.

Men's Brain

I might get a lot of fire for this. But this are the mentality of those rapist cum perverts. True? If not no one would find those sexy or appealing. I shall repeat again, girls who wears coloured bra and nothing inside to cover it are just wanting to give a free show. I repeat they are looking for attention themselves. So the school should advise those students. Not everyone who wears them. Punish them if they have too..

This made me disappointed with how the mentality of some Malaysian have not changed even though we live in a multi-racial community. Chinese and Indian girls do wear Baju Kurung as well. Go to coed schools or girl school and have a look. Look only.. don't think!! If not you would be the wolf, preying on being a rapist. Thats what these PKPIM and PAS wants you to think when you look at one. *grins* I think.. *grins again*

During this week, 2 big matter surfaced. One, Tun M retiring from UMNO. Wow.. The then the hit of Mokhzani and Mukhriz. 3M on the prowl against Pak Lah. Tun M retired in style but doing all these spoils the whole image. Second, the "too sexy school uniform".

I first read this news on MalaysiaKini. My first reaction was what the heck?? Well to be honest I have malay friends who wear baju kurung as well. But they all wear something inside. Those who does not wear it are seriously looking for trouble. Not everyone is looking for trouble like these Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM) says they are.

The Star today had a coverage on the reaction from various party. This is my reaction.

Alright, Malaysia has very conservative culture to be honest its somehow too conservative. Human in nature are always this way; the more you try to protect or cover something, the more people would wanna see. The best protection is do not over protect. One of the most gruesome cases of rape and murder involved a Malay woman in Baju Kurung! Do you all remember that case?

Then another point I wanna point out is, so girls are just plainly looking for trouble. During my schooling days, I have also seen girls in baju kurung with nothing covering inside. So its quite clearly seen. Most also the boys would just stare and thats it. But some would look and just ignore it. Some girls just want the attention of the boys who would just look and stare. They are looking for trouble.

I would just suggest a solving solution for making it compulsory to wear something inside and thats it. There is no need to redraw and design it. Its a waste of money. Just make those who wear them put something on. Not everyone wants to give a free show.

ISA: Abuse of Act or Protect Malaysian?

What is the ISA? Ask any Malaysian, they would tell you one thing. It is to be arrested and thrown into prison without any trial or reason. Why? Reason is because he/she is a threat to national security. This is one of the reasons why there was a massive silence from a lot of people who do not dare to voice it. Now even in everyday life, this sort of fear is so normal in everyone’s life. People usually would not voice their dissatisfaction and just complain all over the place in their own room but not towards the problem.

Let me start with a little history:

The ISA is short for Internal Security Act is actually a law made in 1960 to detain any person whom is found to be a threat to be thrown into a prison before he or she acts on that threat. This prevention method to protect peace was seen surfacing in the 1948 to battle against the Malayan Communist Party. One of the important sections under ISA is Section 8.

Section 8(1) of the ISA provides that ‘(i)f the minister is satisfied that the detention of any person is necessary …’ then s/he may issue an order for his/her detention. The three grounds given in Section 8(1) upon which the order may be based is where a person has acted in any manner prejudicial to the:

a) security of Malaysia or part thereof; or

b) maintenance of essential services; or

c) economic life.

This detention however should not exceed 2 years. The other important section which is the heart of ISA is section 73:

Section 73(1) Internal Security Act 1960: "Any police officer may without warrant arrest and detain pending enquiries any person in respect of whom he has reason to believe that there are grounds which would justify his detention under section 8; and that he has acted or is about to act or is likely to act in any manner prejudicial to the security of Malaysia or any part thereof or to maintenance of essential services therein or to the economic life thereof."

ISA and Malaysia Today

Everyone knows about ISA even more when 5 HINDRAF leaders members were arrested under ISA because of raising racial issue which was deemed illegal in the multi-cultural society of Malaysia. Shall I again question the march by UMNO members in March in Penang? Racial issues were raised. Why the leaders of this march not arrested at all? I will pick it up later after several elaborations.

Let’s not forget Anwar Ibrahim and its reformasion in the 1990s after being sacked by Mahatir. Respecting Tun M for being able to rule Malaysia and bringing Malaysia to what is it today without question for almost a decade is simply amazing! According to HRW.org (Human Rights Watch), Anwar was arrested under ISA because of misuse of power and sodomy charges when he led “reformasi” across Malaysia.

Remember the time when terrorist were running wild after the exposure of the question filled 9/11? A lot of Islamic Militant was running wild even in Malaysia. During this period Islamic Militant were arrested under ISA as a threat to national security. Members were Abu Syaff to Jemaah Islamiah. This site is keeping watch of whom is in there ...

Let’s look back again shall we. Malaysia has been under one party which changed name once. Parti Perikatan changed to Parti Barisan National. The main point is they have been ruling Malaysia with a very big mandate from Malaysian for 50 years till 2008. Under Barisan National it is usually about “Ketuanan Melayu” (Malay in power) as Perikatan aka Barisan National has been under the control of UMNO. Thus they have been controlling Malaysia. As reported since the 1960 (this is catching up), 10000 people were arrested under ISA by UMNO. It is used to silence critics, activist and some were even oppossision leaders. It is not a step towards a brighter Malaysia with the ISA around.

Malaysian is no longer silent and follows what is told anymore. This is an obvious showing during the General Election 2008. Reports, blogs and even the press have said, “Malaysia has taken its biggest turn in its political power by a tsunami.”

Blogging has been the latest trend for Malaysian citizen to voice their views and needs. Not just citizen have hooked up to the web. Political leaders have taken up this to reach the citizen. Several known names are like Tun M as Chedet.com and even Pak Lah has one now. It was on RTM 2 that day as an advertisement. I forgot the website. Some bloggers have even turned into politicians like Jeff Ooi.

Bloggers is now a way many Malaysian gets their daily dosage of authentic unbiased news. MalaysiaKini and Malaysia Today are several sites dedicated to overtake the printed media which is controlled by the government. Bloggers are now even threatened by the ISA if they report things that are too “sensitive to Malaysian Ears”. There is a reminder by the Minister of Information that they won’t tolerate blog posts that are too sensitive or touch-the-untouchable issues on their blogs.

Bloggers of Penang have taken a step ahead by holding a peace rally against ISA to be abolished in early May. Check PenangWatch. Several people were arrested for organising and participating in an illegal gather. Before the election, some said Bloggers are gutless people who hides behind the internet and dare not step in to show their face. Malaysian is no longer as gullible and silly. We are standing up and be counted.

Well learning from what Tun M said in one of the forums, “If you love your country, be brave!”

Human Rights in Kamunting

December 8 and 9 2004 there was a scuffle in Kamunting Detention Centre. Mohd. Afiq bin Hafidh describes the December 9 2004:

On December 9, 2004, . . . I stepped out of my cell without violating any orders. I was handcuffed in the front, my head was forced to bow as low as waist-length, and then I was hauled towards the back of the [cell block]. I was beaten, spat on, and kicked several times. After reaching the back of [that block], I was ordered to sit facing the wall, while handcuffed, and my head was pushed down. There I was insulted, continuously kicked from behind and clubbed on the head with a baton. . . .
We were then taken to [another cell block]. On the way from [a cell block] to [another block] I was handcuffed with my hands at the back and my head was pushed down to waist level. My head was struck with a baton and my eye was hit, injuring it. When I reached room seven of [the cell block], I was continuously beaten and then forced to strip naked, ordered to crawl while entering the room and then my buttocks were kicked and that was how I stumbled inside, naked. My t-shirt and pants were outside the room, which were returned to me later by [the] warden. . . . My left eye continuously bled. I only received eye wash treatment on Sunday, December 12, 2004.

Again as reported from Human Right Watch, this camp has stripped all rights of its detainees

Even Anwar was not spared from this abuse. Come on even, prisoner of war have rights that things should not be done to them. How could this be taken as a step ahead to turning Malaysia into a developed nation by 2020? Human rights are not protected under ISA arrest. Hey! People are being arrested without trial and thrown in there for years.

Why Should It Be Abolished?

It is about time the government of Malaysia left it to the law of Malaysia to handle all matter. Isn’t that right? If you think he/she is a threat, arrest them but not under ISA. Let them face trial unless they are suspected terrorist.

ISA has been misused even towards people who want answers from question they want answered. These are normal Malaysian citizen who question things that is thought to be too sensitive to touch. If the government feels there is nothing to hide, why are they still throwing Malaysian citizen into ISA trap? Or do they have something to hide?

That’s all I can think of at the moment. Will update when I get more ideas or you can help put it here. Cheers!

Something in my mail

I am not sure how long this was sent and stuff. But I got this from my friend who sent me this email. Its regarding racial issues to UM students as a notice of some sort. I wanna share with you all my fellow loyal readers.

There is one point which was highlighted out by the person who sent this out.

Click the image and have a read at it. It is some sort of motivation for fellow Malay students. Its saying the non malay are being really excellent and the Malay students should really step up to their game and be known and be counted. The problem with this message is that other students whom are not Malay would misinterpret this and it can cause massive massive problems. Racial issues were raised here.

I am not sure if anyone has posted on this problem but I just received it this morning and I want to post it here to share with you all. You do the judge about this matter. What should we non-Malay handle this matter? Its like setting a mind set for our future Mahasiswa and Mahasiswi.

The final point in this letter is the final point. "Jangan kita leka Sehingga musuh dalam selimut menikam kita. Jangan disebabkan kita Malaysia jatuh dalam tangan yang tidak sepatutnya."

Let me translate it into English, "Don't be sloppy till till the enemy in the blanket stabs us. Don't let Malaysia fall into the wrong hands because of our actions,"

What the heck!?! We non malays are the issue that is being sought talked about here. Are we the enemy in the blanket? I hope someone from their side come up with an explanation. Its going to be all over the internet soon. This is really really wrong!! We are just about to move away from one of Malaysia's darkest days and this surfaced?!!

Khairy "PKR" Video

Khairy seems to chicken out from defending what he is trying to say.. He is obviously speaking of PKR (keADILan). His proceeding of talking has killed all the talks for 20 minutes for using something so disruptive killing the proceedings.. Was the speaker afraid of the rep from Rembau?

There is a point when Pokok Sena rep stands up and shoot back Projek Babi Negara with the abbreviation PBN, other members of Barisan stands up and makes a lot of noise. So.. What the heck?? How can it be possible??

So if "PKR" is fine to be spoken about by Barisan members?? why PBN is wrong when Pakatan Rakyat spoke of "PBN"? Am I right?

Wow.. When I opened up MalaysiaKini this afternoon; the first thing that caught my eyes was "Khairy: Project Khinzir Raksasa @ PKR". I really had to say something about it.

The article is really short, so I am hoping to be able to view that on MalaysiaNews on You Tube. That was really funny and really creative though its offending to some. I guess this is what Khairy spend time on to come up with other then solving the problems faced by FAM, UMNO and home issues.

It is also a funny reply by Mahfuz Omar, PAS Parliament Member, that its Project Babi Negara @ PBN on MalaysiaKini. Gosh! Malaysia Parliament is really entertaining. More and more entertaining.

Its like kids calling name in a classroom. First it was Karpal's Big Foot.. Now its Project Khinzir Raksasa by Khairil.. What's next??!!

Gangster's Rule The Streets

Most new apartments mostly medium costs have problems when it comes to renovations. Most of the apartment for example the new Serina Bay apartment usually would have a counter near the lift area. What exactly does this table mean? Nope its not for the security guard. Nope its not rubbish left by the building contractor. It instead is a table where to show who is boss.

I will take a picture of this case soon and share it here. To show who is boss literally means the building is under a control of a certain gang of the area. What these people do is to open the counter and sit there. If any outside renovators wants to go up and do what the home owners hires the outside renovators to do, these gangsters would be there to stop them.

Some do not just stop; they would say if you want to carry on with the renovation work, the renovators would have to pay a nominal fees to them. Some even say no one is allowed to do any renovation as these guys says, "We are given full renovating rights by the management of the apartment." Then when the outside renovators meets up with the management, the management would say there is no such thing happening. Then the outside renovators would go back meet up with these gangsters-cum-renovators.

The gangsters would then tell the renovators alright go ahead but each time a tile in the apartment is hit, it would cause the renovators a huge amount of money. Which renovators wants to go ahead and do that? Some were even attacked or intimidated by the gangsters. How do I know of such matter? Well just say I have had first hand experience. Some home owners in a particular apartment would have to succumb to these gangster-cum-renovators to renovate their house. There is one apartment these "renovators" would centralise everything. So literally if the neighbour renovates their house, you two would have the same exact design.

I have approached several people and they say reason they are controlling the area and the apartment because the renovator were the first to invade their area. This I mean its their gang area. Thus they have the rights to control whatever happens to the building. So is this fair? Whom is at fauly here? When we approach the management, they would deny such thing. Some apartment have connection with the gangsters and actually help the gang work out some sort of cooperation so there is a win-win situation for both of them. What about the home owners?

This matter have been going on for years and years. Lately the most absurd I have heard was some furniture dealers would have to pay a nominal fee in order to send up the furniture bought by the home owners!!

Lately these gangsters have turned smarter. They no longer renovate unless they are requested to. They now offer rubbish clearance after the outside renovators completes their renovation but with an absurd amount of payment, some do door and iron door works and finally those furniture nominal fee.

Here is the thing, Penang Government is practicing open-tender in all its governmental projects.But internally there is no open-tender to renovators who does renovation for a living to survive in Penang. Instead they are replaced by these blood sucking people to renovate their work. But if their renovation works are excellent its fine, the problem is the handy works on the furniture and ceiling is so badly done its a big liability to even pay these "renovators" for.

Mr Lim, please look into these matter seriously. Reason being renovators, interior decorators and renovators of Penang face problem with these gangsters all the time. To add more seriousness to this matter, Penang have been the attention of apartments popping up like nobody's business.

Several Talking Point..

I wasn't able to watch the live broadcast of the Parliament seating today. My only source was MalaysiaNews from YouTube. MalaysiaNews highlighted several interesting matters on his video. Once again Karpal made noise for matter that wasn't stated in the video. Then there was the power matter in Sabah. The most interesting thing in my mind from that video is the opposition's wish.

Brought up by Khairil about petrol matter and the promises made by Opposition to lower petrol prices with the profit made from Petronas to subsidise the petrol prices to avoid the price hike. The weird thing was it was replied to instead use the that money to subsidise food.

Alright! Prices of food is rising because of the petrol hike. The burning power needed to run everything else in the world. Though its easy to settle saying to subsidise food as we have food crisis all over the world. Automatically when I watched the video I came to my mind, we should attack the source of the price hike. Like the video shows:

High Petrol Price ---> High Cost for Food..

Low Cost of Petrol --> Low Cost for Food.. DUH!

Freedom of Speech

Ng Wei Aik brought up the matter of freedom of speech to be implemented in Penang. Be the first in Malaysia to adapt this. True meaning of freedom of speech to be implemented. The reason for that is (plucked from The Sun 05 May 2008):

Repressive and preventive laws such as the Official Secrets Act, Sedition Act and Internal Security Act have contributed to the stifling of media freedom in this country, preventing journalists from reporting and writing independently

Then on The Star page 20 regarding, "Protect Journalist who Expose WrongDoings", This is where freedom of speech comes in. If the Government have nothing to hide, why are they afraid and arresting people and charge them under ISA or OSA. Not all journalist or bloggers dare to write or give their thoughts because of all those act. So a new act have to be drawn out to protect these people.

Everyone wants freedom of speech but not much people are doing about it. Its old news many says. I have blogged about this on my blog several times. I am sometimes envious of journalist like Anil Netto or Politicians as they get first hand news. While people like me can only share our thoughts here and hope it could be heard or read.

Security and The Planes

On the 2 of May, Malaysia Kini reported about Liew Chin Tong(refer to picture) asking questions of the jets expenditures. Refer to Soalan DAP ditolak gara-gara OSA. To a certain extend using OSA to refuse to answer the question posed by other leaders is not a very sporting act. But I have a different opinion.

Liew asked something like this, "Can the Minister tell us the cost to run the jets such as MIG 29N, SU-80MKM, Hawk 200 and F/A 18 for each year since 2004 and how often it is used?" Liew might suspect there is some money "missing" from all that transactions. I agree with Najib saying its the country's secret.

Why? Alright let me ask you, "How many padlocks, door knobs with keys, windows do you have in your house? Have you ever changed the lock for the past few years? Do you have a safe?" Its indirectly asking these kind of question.

It is the National Security and protecting Malaysia. True that it is needed to be explained and reported and yeah using OSA is a cowardly act. But the cost to run the jets could be explained or show how much it cost. This is because even we were going to be attacked, most "warheads" would know about it. Bout how many times it is used?? Neh! Keep that a secret. Ministry of Defense has the rights. You don't want everyone to know your combination to your safe, do you?

PTPL Penang: Resolved

I was called up by the program manager on 30 April 2008 evening. She said she has received the letter of complaint. Made an appointment with her this morning and sorted out all the matters brought up in my letter. I am wondering, is it the letter? Or is it the blog post by Warren and me? That is something to wonder. But it got their attention alright.

This is going to be the shortest entry in my blog since I started blogging. I will be blogging about the issue brought up by Lew Chin Tong asking the Minister of Defense regarding the jets the country bought back in 2004. Its service history and its likes. Even Mr Lim had the share to stand up and protect Mr Lew.

Will share my thoughts tomorrow unless something bigger happens in the world of politics.

Bang Mokhtar ---> Big Foot!

What a day it was in the Parliament. The highlight of the day was Karpal Singh calling Bang Mokhtar, Big Foot! And Big Foot calling Karpal, Big Monkey. Ahhh.. The reason why I like Malaysian Politics! Seems like kids fighting really.

Laughing matter aside. There is one thing I would want to criticise about the heated war of words. Bang Mokhtar of Kinabatangan has once again showed his simple mindedness. Karpal is a man whom should be respected for all his work. Why? One, for his courage to attend and fight for the people even though he moving problems yet he wants to represent the people in the Parliament. Second, he is a brave man to stand up for cases no one dares to touch. He should be respected in that matter.

For Bang Mokhtar to say, "Stand up and speak if you want to speak!" Those are the simple mindedness of him again. Let us not forget he was the man who spoke of the "Bulan-bulan pun bocor" issue. How could he be in the Parliament?

Though he did apologise to Karpal but nothing can pull back what he said. I hope there is no more nonsense from Mr Mokhtar. The following is the video taken from Malaysianews from YouTube:

PTPL Penang

Wow!! There is actually more then my friends and I hating our college. We seriously mean hating the management and the college as well. Nothing is wrong with the lecturer its is just how the courses are handled. To be exact the local program offered by a local private university which I refuse to name. It would be referred to as "unnamed" univeristy.

Well lets talk about me. I was the second person to sign up for the new program offered by IPG then for Diploma in e-Commerce. I remembered when I entered the college in Annexe B. The lecturer was excellent the management was excellent. When it moved to Main Campus, it all turned sour.

I have sent a letter of complaint to the Principal but no actions were taken. My first intention was to send that letter to "unamed" university. Conscience came to me saying, "Lets go straight to where the matter is." But it seems it has fallen to deaf ears. Several people has expressed their unsatisfactory with how things are handled. Fellow blogger Warren Tan has a few points that I wanna confirm. Below are the problems I faced:

Extended course of study. At first there is a schedule drawn out for which semester, a student is suppose to take what subject. But for some reason they didn't follow it. Thus there are some semester I was only offered 1 subject out of a possible 5. In the end, I had to prolong my studies for another year. Bloody hell!! I am 23 now and I am only taking a diploma! I will graduate by 24. My plan was to graduate by 23. Then several of my friends explained to me why I should drag. Its because of the Final Year Project which I am suppose to be doing now according to their 2 1/2 year Diploma course! Promised by them!
Left hand don't know what the right hand is doing. How do I start? Lets just start the last week before the midterm examination. This semester we have 2 subjects Web Based Marketing and Advertising taught by one same lecturer. With this we would have confused the notes given out somehow. On Monday it was suppose to be a Advertising class. But suddenly it turned out to be a Web Based Marketing class! We students were like WHAT!?! Then one of us went to talk to the course coordinator whom confirmed it was suppose to be Advertising. But that was not what the lecturer got. The course coordinator confirmed with the exams department. The exam department was responsible for switching the time table. They informed the lecturer except 2 important people, the Course Coordinator and the Students. WHAT!?!
Wrong Syllabus. This has been happening since semester 1 I registered. The English paper in the finals was so different from what was given and taught by the lecturer. How could this happen? I was able to score high cause I was taught to improvise since I was a kid. Then it happened semester after semester. The final's paper are set by the "unnamed" university. PTPL is their subsidiary offering the same paper. Thus their syllabus should be the same. Correct? There are several papers which my improvisation was able to help me scrape through it. Barely! But should this happen? The mid-term is an internal paper and the finals are external. But they are under the same management. How could what was taught in "unnamed" university different from PTPL Penang?
Changes in lecturers. I only faced this once which was last semester, my lecturer who taught me Consumer Behaviour left before the course ended! How could this happen? My friends faced the worst as the lecturer left half way through the course. Then they have to change lecturer! How could a student adapt to the changes? English educated students would not have problems as the command of English is good. My chinese school friends faced problems adapting to new teaching methods due to weak command in English.

These are several problems I wanna centralise in my blog. I am angry because there was no response from the letter I sent. At least they could do is to give me a memo/letter saying they have received my letter and would look into the problems I centralise. Its been 2 weeks since I gave the letter.

Well all I have to say is, PTPL Penang your star from IPG is not almost gone. Buck up or else you would lose all the students you have now to carry on taking degree in PTPL Penang.

Is Malaysia ready for a change in Power? My question to those who supports this political change. Anyone even realise Pakatan haven't said anything about the people's wants in its news. Datuk Seri Anwar just keeps going over and over 30 Barisan will jump ship latest by September 16. Does he ask the wishes of the people? Or he is just power hungry?

"Apa yang menahan mereka ialah pengaturan masa. Ahli-ahli parlimen ini belum pun mengangkat sumpah di parlimen (lagi). Kami bukanlah tergesa-gesa," katanya kepada pemberita di Kota Kinabalu dalam lawatan ke negeri itu, hari ini.
Anwar menambah, lapor Bernama, jika mereka tidak menyertai bulan depan, mungkin dalam bulan berikutnya, Julai atau malah pada Hari Merdeka (31 Ogos).
"Tetapi saya fikir kami tidak akan melewati tempoh itu," katanya.

Before and during the election, Datuk Seri Anwar says its for the people. But if its for the people, is Malaysia ready for this change? I personally am not ready for this. I feel this act of Anwar is not sporting as I would like to call it. Why would I say this?

Election 2008, not a high majority of Malaysian wants Barisan to run the government anymore. But still, Barisan won with barely a 2/3 majority. It is the people who picked this "barely 2/3" majority. The opposition keeps saying its for the people of Malaysia. Its for a better Malaysia. After the election, have the opposition come down to ground level and talked to the people and what they think? Open a poll if the people wants this. Truely wants this!

If Anwar is so confident that the people want this, why not challenge Pak Lah for another General Election. If the people wants the change they will state it. I am confident the people of Penang would give Guan Eng a bigger majority. His been doing a good job as far I can see. For the people and he does listen to what Penang people says.

I am doubting this for Datuk Seri Anwar. This is not defaming.

Lets look at what change would happen. This is my speculations:

Wan Azizah would be the Prime Minister if 30 Barisan member really jumps ship. When she was asked what happens if she has to be the temporary Prime Minister. This is what she said when she wasked if she becomes the Prime Minister:

"Saya bersedia, insya Allah. Ini kejutan baru kepada saya. Saya menyertai gelanggang politik (pun) secara mengejut, saya menjadi ketua pembangkang (pun) secara mengejut.
But women has amazing powers to take things under control even if its out of control. But Malaysia are you ready?
Economic downfall. Investors would doubt the ability of Malaysia and the stability of our government. Foreign investors would not come to Malaysia for and unpredicted time till the politics in Malaysia stablises. Would you invest in Malaysia if you are a businessman?
During Black 14, Datuk Seri Anwar was rudely interrupted when the police forced him to stop his talk. So we couldn't finish up what he has to tell his supporters. But there was one point among the people blocking him he said, "We would rule this state not long later!" With loud roars from his supporters.

Video was editted from MalaysiaKini's video on Anwar's Black 14. If they want me to remove it, I will remove it. About the video it is a good way to keep fans up. But I don't think its right. Its underhand tactics to get things your way and thus handing it to the broken Barisan ruling party. Its an underhand tactic. Thus telling us what kind of a men is he. This is not defamation. I just don't like this move.
Sore losers would run loose. Whom would this sore losers be? Lets look back in Penang's rally. I didn't say who. Security and safety would be a problem.
Implementation of Anwar's Malaysia Economic Agenda. I support the MEA. No doubt fairness to everyone. But I am sure several parties would still be against it. If you are not sure what the Malaysia Economic Agenda is, look back at my previous posts.
Possibly a much more stable and non-corrupted Government of Malaysia. Or is it?
A government with opposition is pretty much the same as Barisan running the show. Thus no one would be there to look out for the people. Pakatan would look out each other's back with no one digging problems or errors faced. Barisan then would be crippled. MASSIVELY CRIPPLED! So does it make any difference?

These are several points I would like to point out to the supporter of Anwar's Agenda of "30 Barisan People Jumping Ship". The power is still in our hands if we don't want the government to change. He says its for the people, if its the people's wish for him to not follow. I feel he has to follow.

So for better of for the worst was the title of this blog. We would see by September 2008. *sweat*

Lee Kah Choon Leaves Gerakan

Lee Kah Choon leaving Gerakan. Boy, "didn't I see that coming". Quoting it with inverted commas. Gerakan is a sinking party because of the loss of Penang during the General Election 2008. To add salt into the wound, Mr Lim dug out things that Gerakan hope it was best left buried. Gerakan shut up and refused to make any comment when the coalition party questioned about the land issue. Only one man stood up from Gerakan and wants answers from his party. It was Lee Kah Choon. This is the man who wants to serve the people from his actions. He doesn't sit down and just keep quiet like Mr Koh Tsu Koon did. I respect that! One person standing out bravely against his own party! You gotta respect that!

So what is the problem for him to leave the party? He wants to serve the people of Penang. Let him be. He holds the the position on InvestPenang and PDC, and people in Gerakan says he has entered the agenda of DAP. I am not sure about that but that was what was said by Keng Yaik.

"Orang muda ini tidak bersedia untuk meneruskan perjuangan. Dia cuba mengambil jalan pintas. Jangan cakap pada saya yang dia tidak mahu aktif dalam politik lagi. Dia tetap aktif (politik), tapi sekarang, di bawah agenda DAP. Tidak. Lagi cepat anda melihat wajah (sebenarnya) lagi baik. Tidak ada prinsip. Tidak ada semangat berjuang dan mahu cari jalan mudah sahaja

Taken from Malaysiakini. A lot of politicians do not agree with Mr Lim's option to give Lee Kah Choon the position. Even Karpal Singh do not agree with Guan Eng's move on this. I don't mind actually as long as Lee Kah Choon and Guan Eng does this for the good of the people of Penang then I say go ahead. Don't be to quick to make judgement that is what I always say. Wait & See.. If you don't like it, boot him out!

Trams or Subway or Monorail

Big agenda in my mind. Cause its concerning the future of Penang. Weeks and weeks ago when Anil Netto brought up the tram issue on his blog, it got me thinking about subways and monorails. Refer to this link. After reading it I thought to myself, bringing back the tram would really boost our tourism income. Lets not be to futuristic with it as well. Looking at the buildings of Penang, the perfect ones would be like those classic old trams Penang used to have. Yeah more expensive but I bet would be cheaper then building a Subway! Refer to picture taken from Anything Goes. Its hot in Penang so make it air-conditioned . The important part is how the tram looks! I guess we would be the only ones in the world using it. Correct me if I am wrong.

Then I set out to do a survey with my friends. The result was disappointing. Out of 16 people I surveyed, 13 wants either a subway or monorail. Reason they give is because its much cooler, moves faster and helps congestions. Building a monorail just makes things worst! Those big big block of pillar would certainly cover the beauty of Penang thus causing jams on Penang's tiny roads. Tourist don't come to see skyscrapers or big big building or worst the Monorail! People come to Penang to see the old Penang, the greenery's and the people. Hey they have nicer buildings in their country. Heritage my friends, H-E-R-I-T-A-G-E!

Only 3 including me agreed with the tram. We agreed it should be air-conditioned. It doesn't necessarily have to go around Penang, it can be used around Georgetown. It would help people to move around Georgetown easily and reduce traffic in the heart of Penang. Monorails can be on halt like how the Second Link Bridge is put to halt with no solid reasons. If the tram helps in Georgetown then make it around Penang with a more modern touch and faster speeds.

Take that into consideration. Maybe a petition to suggest to Mr Lim and his exco members? Any takers?

Freedom of press? or is it?

Everyone would have known that an Indian Press called Makkal Osai has been taken as an illegal press. Reason that was give was the fact that it was they didn't renew their license. I personally feel it would be because of the front page Makkal Osai gave the Black 14 gathering by Anwar Ibrahim. Its a news report for all Malaysian to read. It is not that they are reporting false news or what so ever.
Makkal Osai has been trying to renew their license since October. This could be a problem caused by previous action by Makkal Osai. They published caricature of Jesus Christ holding a cigarette and a can of beer on the other. You can Google for the picture by typing in, "Makkal Osai Jesus Christ", under the image section. (ref: Indian Malaysian)

That could be the reason. Or there is other reason that most alternative media would say is because of the Black 14 coverage that was given by Makkal Osai. There is no longer freedom as this matter is goes on. Or maybe its because they gave a big coverage for the HINDRAF rally during November?

If they bring up the case of the permit, Oriental Daily as reported on Malaysiakini have not renewed their license as well.

On 16 April 2008, The Sun has a column on page 8 about "Alternative Media not untouchable, says minister". The word not untouchable was put into red context. The matter of fact is that mainstream media are beginning to be isolated by the public. As I know from a source in Kuala Lumpur, newspaper for The Star is rarely sold. If there were 80 copies of The Star on the stand, at the end of the day 78 are left.

Malaysian have turned to the Internet as their source of news. Knowing to the point where mainstream media are biased. Not to say they are not of any good its a place where the Government speaks their voice. But now they are bickering about internal problems! UMNO are bickering all over the papers, the news and the alternative media on the Internet! People are tuning to Malaysiakini or Malaysia-Today. Some even look at bloggers for news.

The Strait Times yesterday, 16 April 2008, has its front page with the title, "Get On The Job". To cut things short in the article, Straits Times are urging the Malaysian government to look and concentrate on their job at hand. Its not the time where UMNO stays inside and bicker about their losses and blaming Abdullah Badawi for why Barisan losing so badly. They are tearing themselves apart. One section is seriously interesting from that article:

They don't get it. Abdullah is not solely to be blamed and everything will not suddenly be all well again if he goes. Umno from the roots to the high branches all have to share the blame for their silence, their greed, arrogance and shenanigans that have tuned off voters. So stop the navel-gazing and infighting.

If they have to fight among themselves, at least have the decency to keep it civilised and behind closed doors. They don't have to drag the whole country through their infernal politicking.

I agree with that those two paragraph. UMNO is already crippled from the previous election. Everyone is taking advantage of this disability to gain power! UMNO are having their problems and MCA are having their own. This is like having "Perang Saudara" when the enemy country is attacking. Anwar wants this, they want the government to be weaker then it already is. The people in UMNO are making it weaker by not standing up together and fight!

Let me question those people who hunger for power, "What would you get if you gain power but your party has lost all its influence and its trust from the people?"

Another question, "Is Abdullah to be blame for the loss?" Here is my punchline, It is the people who voted whom are to be blamed. Since power-hungry-people are quick to point fingers; we Malaysian point back at you. If it was not for your greed, your arrogance, we would have kept you as our government. We would give you a strong mandate.

So fellow power-hungry politicians, do you love your country? Do you love Malaysia? As politician, you all want the best for Malaysians. But are you doing the best for Malaysia?

All your internal agendas, keep it civilised and top pointing fingers. Buck-up, roll-up your sleeves and look at your real enemy!

Malaysia: Broken Government

March 8, 2008.. Political tsunami swept the shores of Malaysia. It was just like the 2004 Tsunami that swept Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, Somalia and others rimming the epicentre of the quake which claimed more then 110000+ lives. But this 2008 Tsunami did not claim lives. Instead it claimed several big names of politics in Malaysia. Samy Vellu, Sharizat, Koh Tsu Khoon and the biggest victim is Barisan Nasional party being badly crippled.

This political tsunami showed the government runned by UMNO that Malaysian are no longer gullible or hidden from the truth and 50 years we have had enough. We need a change. Several Members of Barisan Nasional who have done their part when they are in power and lost out were just victims of change. Example of these are Datuk Sharizat and members of MCA. This massive loss was contributed by de facto opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Since then our Prime Minister was on fire. All members of UMNO have questioned his ability to lead Malaysia@UMNO. 14 March 2008, a political/racial march went on in Penang. With hundreds of UMNO party members on the street protesting to Mr Lim Guan Eng of thinking for not ruling with NEP. Racial issues were raised in this rally but no one was arrested. I repeat again, RACIAL ISSUES WAS RAISED.. But NO ARREST has been made.

Then on 18 March, a fresh page for the cabinet was announced. Our beloved Prime Minister shows why he has forgotten how he has merely won the 2008 Election. He didn't increase the seats for those who won him his just-there 2/3 majority to rule Malaysia. The Dewan Rakyat people of Sabah and Sarawak are angered as they feel they were not appreciated and thanked for more seats in the Cabinet/government. Instead "RM 3.4 Million Taib" was introduced as the Rural Development Minister.

To show the unsatisfactory of this new Government, Richard Riot had rumours in the air saying he will be jumping parties to join the opposition. Rumours saying 100 other members of his party, SUPP, would joined suit. But it was just let off as steam. Just hot steam.

On the 27 March 2008, I received an SMS regarding the land in Penang that was turned from a public land to a private land. This was the beginning of the land issues in Opposition States. Penang, Selangor discovered this problem when all their documents were missing documents from the office. In Penang, Gerakan was under fire! Mr. Lim was determined to dig out all this matter and solve it as Penang Government lacks funding to run the state. He even reported it to ACA (Anti Corruption Agency) whom reports back to Mr. Lim saying no such thing. But Mr. Lim found out more lands which have transaction issues. So what is the ACA doing? Selangor the Klang issues is another for Malaysian's to ponder why we gave BN 50 years to rule?

On April Fools day, PM was under even more pressure. This is when Anwar was able to pull PAS and DAP together to form Pakatan Rakyat. It was a powerful trio whom are determined to push the corrupted government of Barisan. Pakatan Rakyat has done its fair share of homework after Barisan Alternatif failed. PAS has decided to set aside its, Islamic Country propaganda and join PR to push Barisan Nasional down.

This is when serious speculation of the PM stepping down. At the MYKMU Forum, Tun Dr Mahatir "made a serious attack" on Pak Lah. It was a rousing support by the UMNO members. This is when Pak Lah has decided to announced Najib as his successor.

After March 8, major parties in Barisan Nasional are crippled by the tsunami. MCA has fallen victim of change and MIC was because of its President whom has started digging a deep grave for himself. Misrepresentation is what I would call MIC's fall.

This massive political crack and instability in Malaysia is caused by Malaysian wanting to see change. The freedom of Anwar Ibrahim to lead the oppositions to gain massive support of the people and proper political war strategies against Barisan's fronts. There is more things to happen in the Malaysian politics. This is especially true when by 14 April 2008, Anwar Ibrahim becomes a free man! Freedom to run for elections.

As reliable sources tell me, once Anwar runs for election; 30+ Barisan members would jump ship and join the Pakatan Rakyat. Thus spelling doom for Barisan. This indirectly spell doom for Malaysia. Why would i say Doom for Malaysia. I shall call it sore losers running loose.

These are all speculations from the streets and words of politically inclined people. Even bookies has taken advantage of this by taking bets for when Badawi will step down as PM.

Time will tell and lets keep our heads, ears and eyes wide open for what would be a very interesting 4 years to come. Opposition would look to do their part to ensure a clean sweep next General Election while Barisan would be looking to pulling their pants up. Over 40 years of smooth serving Barisan are on shaky grounds when Badawi took over for just 6 years in power to kill and cripple Barisan.

Lets sit and pray for the best!

Like Mushrooms After Rain

Apartments have been popping up left and right in Penang.. Its even faster when Ivory came around. I feel its really like mushroom after the rain. Taking Ivory as the rain. What I am talking about here is not those low cost or medium cost of apartments/flats in Penang. We are talking bout here are HIGH-END expensive condos that will cost at least around RM300K and above.

Well one will notice coming from Penang Bridge would be the The View a.k.a Twin Tower by Ivory Group. Its almost RM 1Million for a lot. Its a magnificent thing to look at night when you drive in Penang. But if you place close attention you can see it has not much people living there. You can exactly count the people who had bought a unit and moved in. Seriously! It was completed in 2007.

Then as you exit the bridge and head to Georgetown you will never miss E-Gate and Tesco on the left. Behind you will also notice a particularly big condo. Its called Bayswater Condominium. It speaks out for luxurious and high-end lifestyle. Just coming from the bridge you can already see two high-end apartments. Later on by mid or end of 2008, there will be another high-soaring apartment by the name of Time Square and yet again by Ivory Groups.

What am I talking about? Am I here just to give development updates to people who have left Penang for years? NO!! I am talking here about why are there so many high-end apartments popping out of the blue!!

I am still a student whom just can afford to rent a room not a house. But as the way I see things go, I don't feel much Penang-ite would be able to afford this sort of apartments. Yes true, building shapes are no longer like the one we used to know, the squarish-boxy flats. It seems to beautify Penang and making it looks more developed. But we Penang-ite can't bare the cost!

Why don't they just build more apartments for medium or lower income family? We can't afford those high-end apartments simple reason being living standards are going up but salary is not.

Lim Kit Siang has spoken about this in his blog. One of the interesting that I found on his blog that made me rethink about what I was about to write here.

Realizing the Penang land price expensive, of course it is normal scenario to maximize the gain to build either luxury condominiums, three stories link houses or bungalows.
A quick check on the price is going to above RM600,000 and some could reach millions of dollars. As a result, only the upper income community or foreigners (who wants to utilize MMH2) can purchase these types of properties.

Of course one could say that why not we go and purchase the moderate costs of condominiums. Yes, we could do that but when times pass by, and if the person wants to change the quality of life, the what-so-called luxury property will reach RM1,000,000 and above.

Nowadays, it has been a trend for Penang housing developers to build luxury houses only, why they never build medium costs houses?

I truely agree that lands in Penang are expensive. I am a business student and I do agree on putting more mark-up to the apartment sold. But it is truely out of hand. What we lack now in Penang are medium costs houses. The ones I know of are the two apartments en route from Paya Terubong to Balik Pulau.

It would really be excellent if the new Coalition Government in Penang would reviewing the prices for these apartments. I have a few suggestions that might be radical:

Reducing the price for the apartments especially for Penang-ites. Maybe things like special offer to citizen of Penang.
Build more medium cost apartments or single or double story houses instead. Examples are like the houses they are building in Balik Pulau.

I am bringing this up on my blog because I would be one of the Tax Payer's soon when I enter the work force in the next year. I want to be able to afford a first hand home instead of buying a house where building more then 30 years old. Like the ones in Bukit Jambul Flats and one of those in Paya Terubong. Creepy!

This is the proposed proposed Delima Palace. It is to be built at a medium-income housing area in Island Glades. Blasting of stones are frequent to clear the forest and rocks in the way of the apartment.

This is the Gurney Paragon which is being previewed by the Coalition Government in Penang. Uplands International School have to make way for this massive project.

The Ferringghi Heights. I don't know much about this as I am still researching about it.

2 BN Dewan Rakyat Jump Ships..

An interesting turn of event happened yesterday late night. Getting a translation from my dad whom was watching an Astro news saying that 2 BN Dewan Rakyat members has jumped to join Pakatan Rakyat. No names were disclosed though.

Then this morning in the Chinese Newspaper I don't remember which, saying the same thing. But it was included 34 others from the Barisan party would do the same once Anwar Ibrahim goes for election. The source of this news are not to be found yet on the Internet. So I don't have any reference for this other then the words from the chinese newspaper.

Calculating from the last election, the Pakatan Rakyat has 82 seats out of the 222 seats contested with Barisan winning 140. Now with the news this way its going to turn out to be 84. Then if the sources from the chinese paper is true then BN would not have 2/3 majority and the power would then drop to the Pakatan Rakyat.

This would somehow spell the end of the Malaysian Government that has been ruling the country for 50 years when the 34 others jumps ship. Kudos!

An SMS was also circulating around saying Mr Koh has stepped down and stepped out from the Gerakan Party.

All these have NO English source as a reference for you my loyal readers. But these are the words of mouth that I have heard from people around me. So here you go, the latest from the streets of Penang.

My next post I want to talk about the events of housing and apartments in Penang. We need serious views from the Penang Coalition Government!

Gerakan Remains Silent

"Land Scam! Land SCAM!! Answer Us!, oh Mr Koh!" the coalition Government of Penang screams in vain. Even the people of Penang whom has questions wants it answered. But previous Government of Gerakan remains silent. Lead by Mr Koh , every member of Gerakan remains silent. All but one. Lee Kah Choon.

Mr Lee who was almost an outgoing member of Gerakan has stepped out and spoken about this matter. He himself wants the other members to stand out and speak and answer the people of Penang about this matter. Keeping mum and quiet just shows that there is such scam happening and remaining silent is no way to solve it. Literal translation from Cantonese, "Body got $hit."

I was keeping quiet about this matter after the unfolding of the truth of the piece of land in Padang Tembak (refer to picture above) was exposed. Then some bloke, I don't know who, goes to the papers and calls those SMS circulating around Penang are baseless and does not speak the truth. Here is how the SMS goes to those who missed it:

"Dear poor penangites, please be informed that our former Chief Minister Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon had cheated Penang people on government land sales. A big piece of open land located at Padang Tembak, besides Sekolah Padang Tembak (formerly belongs to poor people and their house being demolished) it is now converted into individual property with the owner name KHAIRY JAMALUDDIN, son-in-law of Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi. We Penang people would like to appeal to the new CM Lim Guan Eng to take immediate legal action against previous BN exco government for such an inhuman deals & return back the land to Penang people. Koh Tsu Koon is now residing in KL when this land deal was exposed to the knowledge of the public. We want ex-CM to explain of this matter."

These are my questions:

If this all is fake, why is Gerakan still keeping quiet about all this?
If it is baseless, untrue, why did Mr Koh went to the Penang Office on the 8 March 2008 in the middle of the night to clear the office from all documents? It was after the election results were announced.
If it is untrue, why did Gerakan's leader Mr Koh run to KL?

Now there is another one found in Klang. Its not from Penang but I am going to touch it. From what I heard from translation from my father from Kwang Hwa Paper (weakness from being English educated). The deal was closed at only RM 2 Billion but it was reported to be RM 4.6 Billion if translation were right. So where has the RM 2.6 Billion gone to? It was also said to use the fund in the Port Klang's "pocket". So basically the people's money. Sorry if the figures were wrong but its around there.

So if the land scams are untrue, please come out from your shell and clarify the matter. If not the current Government of the State would just dig out more and more.

Plus we are the People and we deserve to know!

Malaysia Economic Agenda..

The new Malaysia Economic Agenda is a big big case for battle for the government whom practices New Economic Policy(NEP). This is shown when Mr Lim Guan Eng decided to not follow NEP and then there was a big rally held by the UMNO on 14 March 2008 in front of KOMTAR where the new Penang Government is ruling. I feel this rally is also racial rally. HINDRAF leaders were arrested under ISA for doing that in KL because they raise racial agenda. But none were arrested on 14 March when UMNO raised a racial issue regarding the NEP. Malaysia Kini Post says the same as well.

Back to the Malaysia Economic Agenda drawn out my keADILan's de facto leader, Anwar Ibrahim, as one of the political agenda brought forward by keADILan during its political rally for the GE2008 (General Election 2008).

I support the Malaysia Economic Agenda as it raises fairness of all races in Malaysia. This would help a lot of poor Malaysian not counting either Malay, Chinese or Indians. Fair distribution of wealth and practicing open-tender for all projects would help economic grow much faster and become more efficient. I don't really know much about economic to be honest. But as I know prices of things either edible or non-edible starts rising like the sun rising from the East within the past few years when the Pak Lah took over Dr Mahatir's role as PM. I am not pointing fingers but it can be seen by all Malaysian. The most important thing is that it is able to boost Malaysia's economy!

Mr Lim wants to lead Penang without NEP. But his actions were immediatly objected by the UMNO party in Penang by holding that rally as I mention earlier. I have also mentioned on previous post saying its time to wait and see what happens before doing such rally. Malaysia Economic Agenda should be used in Penang to help boost Penang. Lets try and see what happens. As they say, "Belum Cuba, Belum Tahu" right?

Those leaders of Umno-Bn and the media they own that accuse Parti Keadilan Rakyat as having no stand on the NEP and on other ways of improving the lot of the poor, marginalized and disadvantaged Malays are deliberately indulging in lies to mislead the public. We wish to emphasise that a policy of positive discrimination in favour of all Malaysians who are poor, marginalized and disadvantaged will benefit the Malay rakyat more, because they form the big majority of this category of people.

New Economic Policy is no longer new in my view. It started back in 1971 and its now 2008. Malaysian has grown both mentally and physically (physically as Malaysian are getting fatter by the days). Well why did I say two headed dragon instead of two headed snake? Simple, a snake dies when u hit the head or hit it repeatedly. A dragon is immortal in Chinese view and cannot be killed. Very much like Samy Vellu. After he lost the election he still refuse to let go the MIC President Seat. So he cannot be killed.

Why two headed? The time when the HINDRAF held a massive peace rally during 25 November 2007, 5 of the HINDRAF leaders were arrested. Automatically Uncle Sam said, "arrest them under ISA!!" Then after losing the election in Sungai Siput, he began to feel the pain I think. He tries to get back the people's trust by asking the 5 arrested HINDRAF leaders to be released from ISA arrest.

A little history to sum. On 25 November 2007, people held a peaceful rally in the heart of KL. The peace rally was disrupted when the Federal Reserve Unit used tear gas to deter the illegal gathering. HINDRAF wants to hand up the petition to the Queen of England through the British Commission. Reason's that I found was silly. But still when Indian's turn to HINDRAF instead of MIC, this shows the MIC is not doing what it was held to do. Video of the report of the rally.

The following would be my thought around this matter:

What Uncle Sam doesn't realise about all this is, the Indians don't feel that they are represented by MIC anymore. Lets take a look at MCA. The Chinese all knows that Ong Ka Ting has done its best and looked after the Chinese's needs. The fall so badly because all the people wanted was a change. MCA was on the wrong side of the story and had to fall victim to the change. At least during the loss, Ong Ka Ting still steps down from any post in the Cabinet. Even though he has won. He wants to concentrate on getting back the Chinese's trust in the MCA. Thats a gentleman's action. Look back at why he has failed.

Different story with Samy Vellu. Why would the Indian community in Malaysia turn to HINDRAF to be represented? Easy, the MIC is not doing what they are suppose to do anymore. That is stand-up and represent all the Indians in Malaysia. Even though everything MIC and MCA wants to do has to go through UMNO, MCA delivered. MIC did not do anything when the Temple was demolished in Kuala Lumpur.

When Samy Vellu has lost all its support from majority of the Indian's in Malaysia, he wants the 5 HINDRAF leaders to be freed. He was the man whom was responsible to send them under ISA. He has also plead that two of its leaders that needs to be released early. They are R. Kenghadaran is in a bad health and M. Manoharan because he won the parliamentary seat in the GE2008.

He was the one who caused all this to happen. To view this properly, M. Manoharan was under ISA arrest. Samy Vellu was a free man to run campaign. M. Manoharan won while Samy a free man lost. This shows the different ability between this two. Even under arrest, Manoharan won!!
This just shows how much the Indian's of Malaysia dislike Samy Vellu. He should step down as the President of MIC and let the new blood flow into the MIC. With new blood in there, MIC would need to revamp itself. To deliver to the marginalised Indians. Even comedy court has a song for Uncle Sam.

Boycott Main Stream News Day (April 1 2008)

After reading my friend's blog, I only realised there is such thing as "Boycott the Main Stream Media Day". Its on the 1 April 2008, a lot of people would take this as an April Fool's Joke. I think of it as well. Here is my reason:

All of us who want to boycott always talk about democracy, freedom of speech in our blogs and where we vent all our voices. Let me question you again, are u practicing freedom of speech?

Here is the thing, the government as we know controls the mainstream papers, NST and others. This is their method to bring message to the Malaysian. Why are we boycotting them? This will just show us how unsporting you guys are as well for doing this.

I always feel this, to practice true democracy we need to hear two sides of the story. One from sources of the internet such as Malaysia Kini and bloggers such as Jeff Ooi. Then the other from the main stream papers, what the Government needs to inform Malaysians.

Unsporting Bloggers

Again today I read a post in The Star, Nation Page 16. The title reads like this, "Khaled: Bloggers Censoring Govt Feedback to their Sites." In this article with an interview with Higher Education Minister Khaled Nordin, he says feedback aimed to correct the wrong information on blogs. But the problem is they were deleted by bloggers. The reason for this is because what bloggers write on their blogs will be read by mostly youngsters and assume it as the truth.

Then the member of the Government will come and correct the wrong information. But these bloggers will delete them. I do not know if its the truth because no blog address were written. The following of whatever I say maybe the target of bloggers later on but I have to say what I have to say.

Several weeks ago during March, our Information Minister, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, has announced that whatever bloggers say will not be arrested but it will instead be taken as a step to being a better country by taking all the complaints. This is positive thing the Government is doing.

Now, as a blogger myself, I aim to provide truth and fairness to everyone. Stand as a citizen of Malaysia. Speaking the truth and bombard if the thing done by the Government will affect all of us or rub us the wrong way.

When the country is so sporting, why not we bloggers open up to them? If we know we are speaking the truth why are we afraid. We should accept criticism or correction from those who add their comment on our blog. If we delete any, I will say we are not much different from the people we hate. No difference.

Most bloggers want is freedom to voice and speak. But if we ourself don't practice this in our own blog, we are no different from the people we hate! If you hate the Government, you are no different from them. Criticism and correction from people who add comments should be a step to help us progress!!

Ending the Ferry Service

Today when I open up The Star, 30 March 2008, it is written on the bottom column of N8, "Penang Plans to Scrap Vehicular Ferry Service". This brought a big big surprise to me. I was shocked to read this in the news.

According to the news, one of the reason for this is because they are making losses for every trip made. The operating cost is RM600. They only make RM400 on each trip. This means loss of RM200 on each trip. This makes it noteworthy to provide the ferry service anymore after the second link bridge is complete. Penang Port Sdn Bhd. plans to scrap the ferry for the speedboat which is faster and more efficient. But I think other wise.

Penang is known for the ferry. Most tourism brochure of Penang would have a ferry in it. Take a look at the picture beside, one of the promotional pictures provided when I Google for Penang Ferry. It is part of a tourist attraction somehow. As far as I know only a few country has the ferry like we do. The classic kind. So far in my mind is Hong Kong and Malaysia only.

Our new Government wants to focus on tourism in Penang. Like in the article written by The Star, PPSB has held talks with the Government to handle the matter like how Hong Kong does with the ferry services. The municipal will take care of maintaining the ferry and the port will give port users better and comfortable service. PPSB has to fulfill its social responsibility and cannot simply raise prices for the ferry service.

I am appealing to the Government to consider this. I know the Government in Penang are having financial difficulty. But the matter is the ferry has always been one of the attraction of people to Penang. Taking it off its like taking one part of Penang out of the equation. I hope this helps PPSB to get the attention of the Mr Lim and his Exco members.

On The Road Issues: Penang Road

The Jam

It is almost one year since Penang Road was under repair. A 3 lane road that is the heart of Penang in the city centre has been closed, or shall I say partially closed, for repairs. I am a frequent user of the road. I have wasted hours on that road to get to where I am going because of this people still repairing it after a year!! A YEAR!!!

What is this? It started from the Palace Of India then it progress down. First they closed the right lane to be repaired. Something like 100 meters were closed. Then 2 months later they did the same on the other side. This time closing two lanes for 100 meters. It is a nightmare if you are trying to get to KOMTAR or Weld Quay coming from Hutton Lane. Coming straight from Penang Road is even worst. This carry on and on till now it ended at the exit of Kimberly Street.

One could actually be stuck there for about an half hour, because it takes them 1 year or more to complete the whole road. That single stretch of road took so long to cause massive in convenience to road users of Penang!!

When it was near the Chinese New Year, everything stopped they left the exit of Kimberly Street aka end of Penang Road with an uneven ground. One would have to bump their way up. Then 2 weeks after Chinese New Year the continued digging. Now they are still digging!!! Proof look at the picture.

Taking example today I was dropping my friend, I turned out from Hutton Lane. The thing is I can't even turn!! The timer for the users to turn into Penang Road were merely 40 seconds! Plus it was during peak hours around 5 PM. This is when cars were piling up on Penang Road wanting to get through. The traffic light that connects Hutton Lane and Campbell Street was the major culprit to users who wants to get on to Campbell Street.

As we know most Penang drivers are intolerant and impatient, I am one myself I admit, the time allowed by drivers to turn into Penang Road or go across to Campbell street were merely 40 seconds. Then the one to go straight across the traffic light were given 60 seconds. Plus those fellas won't stop when the light turns red. They will keep going ahead even though they know they are gonna block the road in the center. I even saw Rapid Penang blocking the access to Campbell Street just to go past when its red.

To be honest, the outcome of the new road on Penang Road is not that impressive. Yes there is a good point where they dug out the Old Tram Railway to be a historical site. But in the first place, which imbecile tarred over it in the first place?!

I wish this gets attention of new Penang Government. Its been awhile since this stretch of frequently used road to the city centre to be complete as soon as possible.. ITS IRRITATING, FRUSTRATING and worst TIME WASTING!! Finish up soon!!

There is a piece of land that was formerly a low cost housing for Penang-ite with low income rates. Having been around the area of Air Itam since I was a little kid, its been obvious to me that before that there was a piece of land with houses for the poor next to the SRK Padang Tembak and it was overlooking the graveyard. Not very good feng-shui but its a housing area nonetheless.

Padang Tembak is known to many of us as a place for low-cost housing. So far in my knowledge it was usually lower income to middle low-income group of the majority of Chinese Penang-ite. Then roughly about slightly more then a year ago, the place where there were "single storey houses" was torn down. There were people who has been living there for years and some for a decade or more.

The tearing down on the place has brought many people to be upset. Then I later realised it has been turned into a car park! True, Padang Tembak area has so many flats around but always face this problem, parking was never enough.

Then during the election campaign, that place was used by the Barisan Nasional to do their political rally when Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi came for its rally. With an attendance of 6000+ people with more then 6 buses taking supporters to Padang Tembak, Penang. Causing massive jams and inconvenience to that tiny road. But no summons were issued to the people who parked their car at the side of the road but not the same case when DAP had its political rally in Han Chiang School field. An attandence of 60000+ people. Cars that parked were parked at the side of the road there were summoned.

Back to the matter in Padang Tembak. Late yesterday night, I received an SMS by fellow blogger, Vincent, talking about this matter. The SMS goes like this:

If this case is true, then it would have been an outrage. At first it was said it was to be turned into a parking lot for the people of Padang Tembak not a lot for the "in-laws". It was suppose to be the convenience of users of the area.

Or this may be the cause of the missing documents reported by The Sun on 18 March 2008. This to cover up impurities of how the government was run then. The houses were demolished sometime ago but still it needs answers when this happens.

Though the thought of demolishing houses to be turned into a parking lot is absurb but its not as absurd as the land being sold to this man ---> "The In-Law". Oh ya, he is also the Deputy chief of the Youth Wing of the Malaysian political party UMNO. Other then being Son-In-Law & a "video superstar". If you know what I mean.

My question to the former CM, "So Mr Koh, would you kindly explain to us why is this possible?"

The Week That Was.. (17 - 23 March 2008)

Well a week has past. Many things came up, such as an MP wanting to jump ship to the opposition party, brand new Cabinet and the much "anticipated" rally in Penang. None of that but one that actually happened. This is a wrap out from my point of view.

The New Cabinet

The new Cabinet did happen and I have made my reaction in my previous post. I left one person out, Rafidah. She is very notorious in many ways. Refer to picture above for reason why. There is a point I would love to point out in the Cabinet. If one person who stands election for the "Country's Party", he/she should have a place in the Cabinet when he/she has always been there for years. Its comman sense! This is the case with Dato Seri Rafidah Aziz. You may be curious why I used inverted comma in Country's Party. I am saying this cause during the election Barisan Nasional promoted the party as the country Malaysia. "Vote Malaysia, Vote Barisan Nasional."

Let me point this out, its wrong. I feel its not right to tell the people to vote for Barisan even though they have been running the country for 50 years. That is not the way the votes of Malaysian should be marketed. Your marketing the country! It shouldn't be done that way at all. I love marketing but I feel its the wrong way to market it! Its horrible!! Malaysia is getting more and more marginalised I feel. So cheers, good marketing step!!

Then next, there is such thing about the Government formed by "Malaysia". Let me tell you a story.

MP Jumping Ship? NOT!!
At first you can see in the news during 8 March 2008, Barisan was succumbing to massive losses in Penang, Kedah, Kelantan then nightmare Selangor! That was when I really felt there was a change coming. Even people on the streets were talking about it. Everyone was thinking we will be having a new government the next day. 2/3 majority was in jeopardy. A DAP dream might be coming through. Denying Barisan 2/3 majority. Then as time came, Sarawak and Sabah gave Barisan the 2/3 majority back. End of Story.

Back to today, don't you all feel the Parliament Member who won their seats in Sabah and Sarawak deserve their fair share of seats in the Cabinet. Isn't it? But nope they were denied! They didn't get more seats. They just enter the Parliament and thats it. Is this the way how you thank them? Then instead the Pak Lah put someone who didn't stand for election in the Parliament! You all know who i am talking about, Mohammad Taib!

Then the rumours of Datuk Richard Riot (Serian Parliament) wanting to jump ship to join the opposition and 100 other members of SUPP as well. Then it all turned out to be a sour sad affair. At one moment, it felt like there is going to be a big thing happening. Then on 21 March, all opposition fans turned down to gloom faces. It would be really interesting to watch that people are quitting the UMNO based party. What the heck? thats politic as they said its just "rumours"! Something must have happened for this in the end to end up as only a "rumour". Imagine my friends!! imagine!

Regarding Missing Documents
Then next the missing documents from Kedah and Penang office. This was reported in The Sun, 18 March 2008. It was also covered by fellow blogger, Vincent Lee. True to a point Penang was run by Barisan@Gerakan since god-knows-when. So its home to those Gerakan leaders. Then when DAP took over as the Government of Penang, all documents and minutes of meeting missing from the office. If Gerakan was clean and there is no loopholes, do they need to do all that? Unless they are scared of their own skins for things they have done that is not clean? Or is it just a tactic so DAP can't run Penang properly? Sore loser attitude.. I hope not!

Just a pinch

Then there is the "anticipated" rally by UMNO members. Nope never happened. Thankful and i guess they have the senses knocked into them. Thank You LORD for that!!

The Good and The Horrid!

As a Penang-ite plus being English educated and being into the new change in government, one will automatically read the March 18 2008 The Star newspaper. Especially the section Caffe Latte Chat with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (picture on the right). Most question are regarding how will Penang move forward from where the previous government of Barisan Nasional left off. Most answers from him circulates around building with Penang-ite in mind. Rather interesting. Now the question is Zoo or Aquarium? What say you guys? I say aquarium and so does 5 person in my family.

The other thing I was talking about 2 post ago regarding KOMTAR. Its the city centre of Penang and it was once the shining star of Penang. Now its lame and dead. One person did ask during the Caffe Latte Chat, Guan Eng says he is looking into the matter as he knows of it as well. He is even talking to PDC. Good! He says with Penang-ite on his shoulder its heavy but its something he wants to do. Lets await more news about actions taken.

Then there the fact that 'Mike Tyson' is back in the Cabinet! Muhammad Taib is in the Cabinet as the Rural Development Minister. Most people were taken by surprise by that news. Even Mike himself was taken by surprise.

Lets not forget, years ago when he was the MB for Selangor. He was caught with briefcase containing RM 3.8 Million. As heard it was CASH! To be exact that happened 11 years ago. But he was found to be not guilty of it. Somehow.. Odd.. Back then it was Tun Dr Mahatir which was in Prime Minister. He was made to resign. Then 11 years later, our current Prime Minister put him back in to the seat as the Minister for Rural Development. HE DIDN'T EVEN STAND FOR ELECTION!!!!

Oh yeah, the night of election date March 8 after midnight when Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi gave his first view of the election results, Taib was there behind him. He has no connection, he didn't enter election. Why is he there? This was on National TV.. RTM1..

Some people showed a lot of cheer and there are some who shows anger. Why anger you may ask, look at the paragraph before this and make your analysis. I am a member of the angry party here. Understanding that your smart enough to make your own analysis, I shall leave the imagination to you all.

After this two matters, I think you can figure out which is the Good and which is the Horrid. Cheers to you if you have.

The new Cabinet gives a lot of new faces. I will put my face in all matters and see if there are things worth questioning. Rumours or views from family, friends or even words from the streets are where most of my thoughts and question comes in. Why? I am a Penang-ite and I am the citizen of Malaysia.

Another Rally?

As of today, March 16 2008, there are rumours circulating around Penang saying there will be another likely rally by the UMNO members on the March 20 2008. and they say, "Its going to be bigger!" WOW! That is a big thing you guys are doing!

Again what is the point? We Chinese and Indian do not have the NEP covering us all this while. We are doing fine and some of us are doing much better without it anyway.

Think of it this way, lets see what Mr Lim has to offer after removing the NEP. It could be a positive move. It could be a step closer for Penang to become Singapore as Mr Koh promised 10 years ago. But its now 2008 and he said that in the election of 1999. We should at least be like 80% close to that goal. But we are not.

There is no point of staging a rally at the mass scale. It just doesn't prove anything. Be professional about it. All there is to do is sit watch. Give him at least half a year of his reign or even better 1 year in.

Then there is another case, I dont really know why but Political Rally seems to be an in thing in Malaysia now. Oh wait, we are turning into those other 3rd world country. Rally are as often as kids going to McDonalds. The next one I heard circulating around the air is the Pemuda UMNO to ask out Prime Minister to step down.

First it was the Bersih Rally then it was the HINDRAF Peaceful Rally, then it was the one in Penang lately. All this will potentially hurt our economy. Not like the Barisan losing so badly is not enough to hurt the economy. This is just worst! The more rally happens the worst the situation of Malaysia would be.

Lets go back to the NEP or DEB in Malay. This gives loads of advantages to the Malay. Not questioning their authority cause its in Malaysia's Constitution that the rights of the Malay should never be questioned. I am not questioning, I am asking for you guys to consider giving Mr Lim at least 2 years to see what he can offer us Penang-ite.

The sickest thing I heard bout the March 14 rally was, most of the people there wasn't local Penang people and most of them were women and children. This is just dangerous! You want to confirm this kindly see my previous post, I have a video posted there. If you people want the support, please get local people and organise it better. Look at the Bersih Rally. The thing you guys organise were just kiddy. Better of not doing it anyway!

Now instead of the PDRM strolling and going around Penang to ensure security in Penang, they have to go there protecting the building. Exposing other Penang-ite to danger! Come on! That day I got sources telling me almost 2000 police personnel was dispatched to take care of all this nonsense!

I am not supporting rally to happen. I just find it brainless and childish! PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!!! If you don't understand, Kesabaran Anda Membawa Manfaat!!

If you have time read my friend's blog on Guan Eng, Penang & Malaysia it makes sense and i totally agree with what he says. Mr Lim, You have my support!

A big rally was held from UMNO building to KOMTAR at about 2.30pm. Most Penang-ite would have known about this as rumours started as early as 11 am. Then it turned out to be true. I was curious when my aunt called me. I didn't know who will be involved.

Later on in the day, that curiousity was killed. It was from the UMNO party with the point of our new Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's announcement that Penang will not be following the NEP (New Economic Policy). The reason for this is the special rights for the Malay on bank loans will not be applicable here in Penang. Thus the riot was held to centralise this matter.

The thing is, our Chief Minister has only taken the oath on Tuesday, 11 March 2008. Then on Friday, 14 March 2008, the riot by the UMNO members happened. Come on guys, the Chief Minister's seat haven't heated up just yet and your holding a rally because of one thing Mr Lim declared.

The thing is, Penang has never gone under the coalition government of PKR and DAP before. It has never entered the week of his reign. Give him a chance as he says equal rights to all races during his election campaign. Let him warm up his chair. It shall never be taken as negative. There is a possibility he would give a better deal. THERE IS A CHANCE.

Then there is another fact, Mr Lim has announced that a little bit too early. You will indirectly rub our Malay friends the wrong way. But lets see what you can do to Penang. I have a suggestion a place to start, KOMTAR. The building you are sitting in, Mr Lim.

During the 80's, KOMTAR was the most happening place to be. Those were the days where my parents would go there for dating like most couple do now in Gurney and Queensbay. As I was a kid, I was always brought there for shopping.

Till I was 14 or 15, I go to KOMTAR to a CD Store called Cahaya. I frequent there till one day i heard Super Komtar closed down and gone bankrupt. The worst thing was Parkson even closed down. I been to KOMTAR lately and it was a sorry sight.

Most youth today just go there to pay their MPPP summons or just basically desperate for somewhere to go. The surrounding is boring its a drag. I personally feel if you, Mr Lim, can bring Penang's previous pride to a bright new thing to attract youth back to KOMTAR and not foreign workers to it. And yes, bringing The Store to KOMTAR would not bring attention to our local youth. Unless its really superb.

At first before the sore there were rumour of bringing IKEA to KOMTAR. Its a good idea though it could disrupt the furniture sales of Penang. Basically my family business will be disrupted but it was a more radical idea to bring the in. Now people in their 20s to 30s would be going there as they have the purchasing power. And they won't mind spending. The Store, pah!, we have Parkson, Jusco, Metro Jaya, Tesco and even Giant. What makes you think we need one more?

Election Fever.. Healed

Tsunami of Change, these are the words printed on newspaper. No one expected this to happen at all. Even the opposition party (or the Government now) were not expecting a landslide win. 2 days before election during the Han Chiang Ceramah by DAP, they were only expecting to win 14 out of 19 seats contested. Instead they won all 19. Working with PKR who has 9 seats in the State Assembly they formed the Government in Penang. Lead by Lim Guan Eng. Something good could be happening.

What I was a little disappointed was, Lim Guan Eng being the Chief Minister of Penang. Well there is a point where Guan Eng should be the Chief Minister of Penang. Simple reason being he is the Secretary-General of DAP and he won the state seat in Air Putih. I was hoping Chow Kon Yeow for the Chief Minister post. Why do I say this?

He was the Chief of DAP in Penang. He has always contested in Penang. So I feel he would know clearly what is wrong in Penang. Not to say Lim Guan Eng doesn't know. I am saying Mr Chow would know better. Plus Lim Guan Eng has a family living in Melaka. He has to tear himself apart between family, State Assemblyman in Air Puteh, Parliament member and now Chief Minister. I feel his hands are full.

Lets just wait and see what Lim Guan Eng can do. Congratulations again to DAP & PKR of Penang.

Now lets talk about MCA. I feel the Malaysian Chinese Association has done its best within the time they were in power. They won only merely 15 out of 41 seats contested (correct me if I am wrong). This should not be taken as a beating by Mr Ong Ka Ting and his members. Malaysian Chinese just wants to see what the other side of the field have to offer. Just see how they see things.

My angry part, as of March 9 2008, MIC current President Samy Vellu still refuses to let go his position from MIC. He has lost badly to Dr P.Ramasamy. HINDRAF has signified they wants to change. So does most Indian brothers i know of. They were not happy at all with what Samy Vellu has done to the Indian community of Malaysia. This is not something to go against the him. Its about time you let go of the MIC President seat!!

Now! Khairy and Eshammuddin. The two men which has been exploited and targeted by opposition during their political rally. After realising what these two have done, I am very disappointed that they have actually won. Jeff Ooi, the Political Superstar, has made himself heard within about 2 months after quiting Gerakan (if my facts is right) and realising DAP is the party able to meet his political aim. He has represented himself to fight Khairy in the Parliament if he makes another stupid statement. Jeff Ooi, U HAVE MY SUPPORT!

Another question for us to ponder, Datuk Seri Anwar, the leader of PKR, where is he going to stand? And what is he going to do by May when he can stand for election? Now both wife, Wan Azizah and daughter, Nurul Izzah have both won where they contested. What is he going to do? Lets all watch and wait.
